Blade description:

This composite blade features a 5+2 construction, integrating thin layers of TeXtreme+ carbon fiber into its design. Despite the inclusion of carbon, it is widely noted for providing a tactile experience that closely mimics a stiff, high-quality all-wood blade. At lower impact speeds, the carbon remains unobtrusive, offering a woody feel and a level of control that facilitates precise short-game play, such as pushing and touch shots.

Performance Characteristics

  • Feel and Dwell Time: The blade is characterized by a crisp, medium-hard feel that provides excellent ball feedback. It offers sufficient dwell time to generate significant spin, allowing for high-quality, spin-oriented loops.
  • Dynamic Response: The blade operates on a non-linear performance curve. It maintains a controllable, almost moderate speed during passive play, but engages the carbon fibers when additional force is applied, unlocking a higher gear for powerful offensive shots.
  • Control and Stability: It features a good sweet spot and remains stable during blocking and counter-looping. Players note that it demands proper technique and consistent ball contact to fully access its potential power, making it well-suited for advanced players.
  • Weight and Physicality: The blade offers a medium throw angle and a satisfying acoustic response upon impact. Due to variations in manufacturing, individual weights can fluctuate, which significantly influences the overall balance and power delivery of the setup.

This blade is perfect for players who enjoy a dynamic, spin-oriented game.

If you appreciate a blade that offers a satisfying sound and feel, while still delivering precision and control, the Dynasty Carbon Xu Xin is a fantastic choice.

I think I have played almost all well-known Butterfly blades on the market, including Viscaria, Super Viscaria, FZD Super ALC, Timo Boll 30 Years, Yoshimura Limited Version, Mizutani Super ZLC, and Harimoto SALC.

But now, I’ve switched to this blade. The touch is fantastic for passive pushes, and the power is there when you need it. You can feel the ball getting held on the blade and then going out with power.

My coach uses this blade to serve, and the spin is insane. By the way, I’m playing with D09c on my forehand and D05 on my backhand, and they suit the Xu Xin Blue Label well. I would like to try the Xu Xin Golden Label in the future!
