Stiga Clipper CC
Blade description:
This blade is a composite model featuring a 5+2 construction. It is designed to offer a balance between an all-wood feel and the performance characteristics of a composite blade, providing a high-throw angle that is well-suited for aggressive looping and spin-oriented play. While it delivers significant power during high-energy, active strokes, it requires the player to be proactive, as passive blocking can result in a lack of energy return.
Performance Characteristics
- Feel and Dwell: The blade provides a distinct “woody” sensation while retaining the structural benefits of a composite layer. It is noted for having a longer dwell time compared to some traditional ZLC blades, facilitating heavy spin production.
- Stiffness and Speed: It is a medium-hard blade that performs effectively in mid-distance rallies. It is categorized as an OFF blade, offering enough speed for powerful drives and smashes while remaining controlled enough for touch play and short-game pushes.
- Weight and Handling: The blade can feel substantial in the hand, with reported weights often reaching approximately 92 grams. Users have noted that the handle design is slightly larger than some premium alternatives, which may affect the balance and grip for players with smaller hands.
- Blocking: The blade excels in blocking situations that involve active engagement. It provides a natural, effortless feel when executing blocks, though it requires the player to provide their own energy during passive shots.

Okay, discontinued, so it is not funny for players who want to try something similar to Revoldia but won’t pay the same amount of money. First, this is an OFF blade, and second, this is a semi-composite-all wood blade. Ionescu used it a lot of time, but maybe it was too slow for him.
It plays similar to Revoldia, feeling all wood, but you can hear the composite vibes in passive strokes and the low gear is slow. It will add you more feeling. What makes this blade a 1-1 copy of Revoldia? When you block with Revoldia, and you use passive motion just put your racket without any energy, the ball slipped down; the same situation is here. You must use energy to put the ball on the table. You can find a review of the FZD CNF blade when the guy says the same words in his review.
The control of Clipper CC is nice, and I had the same situation with Revoldia. Vertical shots to the table are 10/10. When the ball comes to you on the front with CNF, CC, you can put 100% energy, and the ball will go with the biggest strength and curve without any chance to your opponent. When the ball comes to you on the side, you can’t be lazy. Revoldia and CNF are not the blades who like lazy players.
The difference between both: Clipper CC is a high throw, medium-hard blade, that’s why you need to put slower, softer, low throw rubbers (right now, there are a lot of grippy, semi-tacky, fast and very hard, high throw rubbers) which makes it harder to match new rubbers to CC than CNF. CNF is a semi-low throw, soft blade, that’s why it is more friendly for new rubbers with sticky topsheet. Both play the best with Tenergy 05/Tenergy 64. CC is thicker, but it won’t affect your banana flick. The handle of Stiga is better than the 24mm of Revoldia. I played with only Revoldia and CC, and both had the same rubbers.
For me, CC is more woody, more curvy, and that is funny, more spinny. Revoldia is more direct, pure, less spinny, and more expensive, but both have the same cons and pros. For me, Stiga is better, but Revoldia is unique too.

An outstanding upgrade of the classic Clipper, arguably one of the most sold blades of all time.
