Blade description:

The Stiga Clipper CC is a remarkable table tennis blade that epitomizes the perfect blend of performance and feel. Designed for players seeking an offensive edge, this semi-composite all-wood blade combines the warmth of a wooden feel with the advanced characteristics of carbon powder. Its construction features a 13-ply configuration, including limba as the outer layer and ayous as the inner material, resulting in a unique blend of speed and control.

Weighing in at 92 grams and with a thickness of 6.8mm, the Clipper CC stands out as a medium-weight blade that does not compromise on power. It boasts a speed rating of 94, making it an excellent choice for aggressive players, while its control rating of 61 ensures that precision is not sacrificed in the pursuit of speed. The blade’s stiffness, rated at 3.5, and hardness of 3.7 contribute to a responsive touch, allowing players to execute a wide range of strokes with confidence.

With its high throw and medium hardness, the Stiga Clipper CC may require players to pair it with softer, low-throw rubbers to optimize performance. Alternatives such as the Revoldia and CNF blades are noted for their unique feel compared to the Clipper CC; however, the Stiga blade has proven to provide superior spin and control, especially during loops and topspin shots. Players report that blocking with the Clipper CC is almost effortless, affirming its reputation as an intelligent blade that adapts to various playing styles. Overall, the Stiga Clipper CC is a top-tier choice for serious players seeking a reliable, high-performance blade.

Okay, discontinued, so it is not funny for players who want to try something similar to Revoldia but won’t pay the same amount of money. First, this is an OFF blade, and second, this is a semi-composite-all wood blade. Ionescu used it a lot of time, but maybe it was too slow for him.

It plays similar to Revoldia, feeling all wood, but you can hear the composite vibes in passive strokes and the low gear is slow. It will add you more feeling. What makes this blade a 1-1 copy of Revoldia? When you block with Revoldia, and you use passive motion just put your racket without any energy, the ball slipped down; the same situation is here. You must use energy to put the ball on the table. You can find a review of the FZD CNF blade when the guy says the same words in his review.

The control of Clipper CC is nice, and I had the same situation with Revoldia. Vertical shots to the table are 10/10. When the ball comes to you on the front with CNF, CC, you can put 100% energy, and the ball will go with the biggest strength and curve without any chance to your opponent. When the ball comes to you on the side, you can’t be lazy. Revoldia and CNF are not the blades who like lazy players.

The difference between both: Clipper CC is a high throw, medium-hard blade, that’s why you need to put slower, softer, low throw rubbers (right now, there are a lot of grippy, semi-tacky, fast and very hard, high throw rubbers) which makes it harder to match new rubbers to CC than CNF. CNF is a semi-low throw, soft blade, that’s why it is more friendly for new rubbers with sticky topsheet. Both play the best with Tenergy 05/Tenergy 64. CC is thicker, but it won’t affect your banana flick. The handle of Stiga is better than the 24mm of Revoldia. I played with only Revoldia and CC, and both had the same rubbers.

For me, CC is more woody, more curvy, and that is funny, more spinny. Revoldia is more direct, pure, less spinny, and more expensive, but both have the same cons and pros. For me, Stiga is better, but Revoldia is unique too.

An outstanding upgrade of the classic Clipper, arguably one of the most sold blades of all time.
