Blade description:

The Friendship/729 Blue Advance is an innovative table tennis blade designed for players seeking a perfect balance between speed and control. Crafted with a unique composition that integrates both wood and carbon layers, this blade offers exceptional performance for various playing styles. The Blue Advance is recognized for its versatility, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced players who are looking to enhance their game.

In terms of dimensions, the Friendship/729 Blue Advance boasts a medium weight and a thickness that strikes an ideal balance for players who require both speed and maneuverability. This construction allows for a quick response during fast exchanges, while still providing enough heft for strong offensive plays. The overall design emphasizes a soft feel at impact, which is beneficial for players who utilize spin as a key component of their gameplay.

Flexibility is another key attribute of the Blue Advance. It features a medium level of flexibility that aids in generating spin while maintaining solid control over the ball. This characteristic allows players to execute delicate shots and powerful smashes with ease, making it a favorite among those who value precision alongside aggressive play.

For those considering alternatives, the Friendship/729 Blue Advance competes effectively with other blades in its category, such as the Butterfly Timo Boll Spirit and the Stiga Carbonado series. Each option offers distinct advantages, yet the Blue Advance stands out for its blend of speed, control, and affordable pricing, making it an appealing choice for serious players committed to improving their skill level on the table.

I don’t know how they made that, but I can hit the ball OR spin it with ease (desto F4 and fastarc G1); like you can do anything, by magic it’s always on the table. Can do everything, even chopping. Quite heavy at first (I came from TSP black balsa, yinhe T11s), but now I prefer the power of weight. The best value for $30.

Careful: the handle is thick. If you have small hands, it will not be comfortable, I guess; mine is average, so it’s ok.

2024 Dec 25: Upgraded FH from J3A H40 to Battle 3 H40 (50.5g). B3 works very well with this Super Vis clone (186g) with better serve, spin, opening loop, counter loop, speed, control, and feel. Also to update on Moon 12 Blue (H-) that works really well on this blade: Think its BH loop and opening flick are easy to execute (high throw and fast speed), best BH for ~ SGD16 for me. I went for H- due to my aggressive BH style instead of the slightly softer and slower M+.

2024 Aug 30: 94g. FH: Jupiter 3 Asia H40. BH: Moon 12 Blue H-. This Butterfly Vis SALC clone is magical when combined with medium-hard rubber for modern attackers with powerful drive, flat hit, and smash. Backhand-centric players will like the high reaction (due to both stiff and hard (both should be much higher than the 5-6 ratings) Koto blade and fast Moon 12 Blue). This blade is ~5% faster than Stuor Nobilis (SZLC) but 5-10% less dwell. I used it when I am in the mood for direct attack or when I play with a slower ball (to speed things up). It is only SGD$35 on AliExpress for such a direct blade.
