Blade description:

The Stiga Allround Classic WRB is a versatile table tennis blade, renowned for its exceptional balance of speed and control. This five-ply wooden blade features a limba outer ply, which not only enhances its durability but also contributes to the blade’s excellent feel during play. Weighing in at approximately 85 grams, the Allround Classic WRB is considered light to medium in weight, making it responsive without compromising on handling. With a thickness that allows for both power and finesse, this blade sits comfortably in the hands of players at various skill levels.

One of the standout characteristics of the Allround Classic WRB is its flexibility. Rated with a stiffness of 3.5 and hardness of 4.3, players have noted that it offers a good balance between a forgiving touch for slower games and the ability to generate speed when needed. Reviews highlight that the WRB system, which features a hollow handle design, enhances feedback and power, contributing to its reputation as an ideal all-round blade.

As for alternatives, while the Stiga Allround Classic WRB suits beginners and intermediate players exceptionally well, more advanced players may benefit from faster blades. Players who prefer aggressive styles might consider pairing this blade with high-tension rubbers like Tenergy or Rasanter to amplify spin and speed. The Allround Classic WRB excels with tacky rubbers as well, making it adaptable for various playing styles. Overall, this blade is celebrated for its capability to accommodate players transitioning from beginner to intermediate levels, ensuring that it remains a favorite in the world of table tennis.

Classic and epic blade with good control, speed, and a soft touch. It strikes a fine balance between speed and control. My setup includes DHS H 3 NEO 39 degrees on the forehand and Xiom Vega Euro Max on the backhand. This combination provides ample speed for attacking and excellent control for short-game defense.

The blade pairs well with both European and Chinese rubbers. It is particularly effective with faster rubbers for an aggressive style of play. Compared to previous blades I have used extensively (Korbel Jap, Korbel Magic Hand, Xiom Solo, Bat Kong LingHui Euro), I selected the Stiga AC WRB for its superior control and comfortable speed while attacking.

Its lightweight construction, exceptional quality, ideal balance, and distinctive sound enhance the overall playing experience.

The blade is ideal for beginners, offering a good balance of control and power. It is also relatively lightweight, making it easy to maneuver. However, the blade may not be the best choice for advanced players who need more power and precision.

Firstly, I am using this Stiga Allround Classic WRB with Palio the Way 40+ for the forehand rubber and Friendship/729 729-08 as the backhand rubber. I am a beginner. Before using this blade, I used Yinhe N9s and N11s blades.

In terms of speed, the N9s is faster than the N11s, which is faster than the Stiga ALC WRB. In terms of stiffness, the Stiga ALC is stiffer than the N11s, which is stiffer than the N9s.

I feel this is a perfect blade if you are a beginner and would like to develop technique.
