Stiga Carbonado 190
Blade description:
The Stiga Carbonado 190 is a composite, offensive-oriented blade featuring a 5+2 construction. It utilizes a specific carbon orientation designed to provide a distinct, stable feel with a large sweet spot, ensuring consistent ball response even on off-center hits. The blade is characterized by a low throw angle, which facilitates keeping aggressive loops and blocks tight over the net, making it particularly effective for close-to-mid distance play.
Performance and Feel
- Speed and Power: Classified as an offensive blade, it delivers ample power for smashes and drives without being classified as excessively fast. The carbon composition provides significant punch and speed for offensive maneuvers.
- Control and Touch: Despite its speed, the blade is noted for its high level of control and tactile feedback. It maintains a crisp feel with minimal distracting vibrations, which benefits the short game and allows for precision during technical loops.
- Physical Characteristics: The blade features a larger paddle dimension compared to some standard composite alternatives. Weight can vary depending on the individual piece, with some users noting a heavier build that contributes to its overall power and stability. The handle design is frequently cited as highly ergonomic and comfortable.
Recommendations
The Carbonado 190 performs well with a variety of rubbers, particularly those with medium to high throw angles, which help balance the blade’s inherent low-arc trajectory. It is well-suited for players who favor an offensive style, combining the speed required for decisive attacks with the touch necessary for controlled play.

C190 (100g/m2 of carbon) is 90g, similar in weight to TB ALC (84g), but with larger paddle dimensions. The handle is super comfortable, like the C290 (200g/m2; 95g).
The C190 is a very good OFF blade, with a nice touch for short gameplay. It excels at looping, defense, and smashing. The C290 adds more punch to all aspects of gameplay, especially for effortless smashing.

Very good blade, but mine is different and slower than those of my colleagues who are also using the same blade (we purchased from the same Stiga Dealer).

The blade is very heavy, but it works great with Hurricane 3 or 8, and Rakza 7. It provides amazing power and control, along with a great feel. Additionally, there are no annoying vibrations.
