Blade description:

The Victas Quartet VFC table tennis blade is a high-performance option tailored for players seeking a blend of speed and control. This blade primarily utilizes a unique composition of V Carbon, which enhances power while maintaining a certain level of safety over the table. It is recognized for its extraordinary counter-looping capabilities, making it a favored choice for aggressive players who like to dominate the game near the table.

The Quartet VFC falls into the OFF to OFF+ category, boasting a speed rating of 9.1, which places it among the faster blades available. It features an average weight and a thickness comparable to that of blades designed for professional play, catering to players who excel in technical precision. The blade’s stiffness rating of 6.4 suggests that it is relatively stiff while also offering softer touches for finer shots, striking a balance that many players appreciate.

Flexibility in the VFC is notably adaptable, allowing for a responsive feel during play. Some players have found it initially challenging to control due to its high speed, suggesting that it is best suited for advanced competitors comfortable with fast-paced games. The hardness rating of 7.5 indicates that it is firm, providing good feedback on strokes. For those in search of alternatives, the VFC is often compared to blades like the Swat Power or Niwa Wood—each offering its unique attributes while delivering a similar overall performance. The VFC stands out for players aiming for a competitive edge through proficient spin and fast play, ideally suited for those rated 1850 and above.

This is a call to everyone who thinks they have to rate something (especially speed, spin or control) and use the maximum rating of 10. The rating 10 stands for the maximum possible!!!! — and something like that will only be sold to you by a dealer who lies to you in order to sell his goods. AND, please do not enter any ratings in the tables without having written a report!!!!! — with that you are helping “nobody”. Please everyone think about it!

Update from 03/2021: " I love very stiff and hard blades!!!”

After reading the ratings for this blade, I drove to my dealer to have a look at this blade. According to the ratings, she should be stiff and hard. (… and last year, in this ratings, extremely fast). Unfortunately I couldn’t find out (… and my dealer absolutely agreed), this blade is rather flex to average and the stiffness round about soft to medium!!!

Conclusion: If you are also interested at this blade, be sure to hold it in your own hands before you order it anywhere.

Quartet VFC

- Speed: Off- Off+: More like off though - Feeling: Soft-Medium

Pros: - One of the best blades for counter looping near the table - V carbon (aka ZlC) helps gain power with excellent ball brushing - Fleece carbon provides safety over the table - Similar to Swat Power - Impressive kick after spinning the ball

Cons: - Lightweight (preference for heavier blades) - Requires technical skill due to fast blade speed

Summary: - Grip type rubbers recommended - Sponge hardness inversely proportional to skill level - Offers incredible spin potential - Ideal for players who counter loop near the table and prioritize smart receiving play - Suitable for rating levels between 1850s-2300 in the U.S. - Potential substitute for Niwa Wood or Swat Power, providing enhanced spin with slightly reduced speed

Hope this refined review proves helpful.
