DHS 6512
Rubber description:
The DHS 6512 is a sticky rubber characterized by a firm sponge that provides a distinct feeling of stiffness during play. It offers reliable grip and produces above-average spin potential, making it suitable for players who prioritize shot placement and technical consistency.
Playing Characteristics
- Spin and Friction: The topsheet features a sticky surface that provides ample grip for creating spin, outperforming similar traditional rubbers in this category.
- Speed and Dwell: While the sponge is relatively hard and provides a bouncier response compared to other classic tacky options, it is generally considered a slower rubber, making it more oriented toward controlled offensive or all-around play rather than high-speed power loops.
- Control: The rubber is noted for providing excellent control, allowing for precise ball placement and ease of use in touch shots and service returns.
This rubber is widely recognized for its accessibility and cost-effectiveness. It is well-suited for players seeking a stable, tacky surface that rewards deliberate strokes and placement over pure explosive speed.

The new 2020 packaging is a nice touch.
At first impression, comparing this to Globe 999 National on the same blade, the 6512 has a harder sponge than the 999 National 39 Blue-Sponge. However, the feeling of stiffness when playing is the same. The 6512 is bouncier and grippier for me.
Overall, the 6512 is a cheaper and better deal.
