DHS PF4-50
Rubber description:
This is a hybrid rubber featuring a Chinese-style tacky topsheet paired with an elastic, medium-density sponge. Designed primarily for novice to intermediate players, it prioritizes predictable control and ease of use over high-end offensive power. The rubber excels in technical development, making it effective for learning fundamental strokes, placing shots accurately, and executing controlled blocks, pushes, and drops.
Playing Characteristics
- Spin and Surface: The topsheet provides a moderate level of tackiness out of the package. It allows for both thin, brush-style loops and thicker, sponge-driven contact. However, spin production is consistent rather than high-end, and the tackiness may diminish with extended use.
- Speed and Elasticity: The sponge offers a distinct elastic feel, which provides more energy return than traditional, non-elastic Chinese rubbers. Despite this elasticity, the rubber is generally categorized as slow to moderate in speed. It performs most effectively when paired with a stiff, offensive blade to compensate for its inherent lack of top-end power.
- Control and Versatility: The primary strength of this rubber is its high level of control, allowing players to place the ball with precision. It is suitable for backhand use and training, though advanced players seeking aggressive winners may find it lacking in explosive velocity. Users should note that while generally consistent, the quality of the sponge can result in varying experiences regarding firmness and weight.

I have probably cut 60+ rubbers and this one turned out very jagged on the edges, crumbling despite using a very sharp box cutter type tool. Maybe my sheet was from a bad batch? Not light either, as my uncut sheet weighed 72g with a 2.0mm sponge thickness.

Es un artículo muy bueno y con buenas características.

The slowest inverted rubber I have ever used. It is slightly tacky out of the package, but completely non-tacky after two play sessions. It is not at all spinny. It is great for placing the ball exactly where you want it, but not so much for hitting winners. It plays more like short pips than inverted in terms of spin and speed. It has a cut weight of 46 grams, which is about average for inverted rubber. It is great for novices and control players. I purchased a “medium” sponge version, which is about 1.8mm.
