Forehand Rubber:

This rubber excels as a forehand option for controlled loopers. Its 2.2mm H45 thickness provides excellent control, allowing for precise shots and spin generation.

Backhand Rubber:

While this rubber provides good control for forehand play, it may be too firm for some players’ backhands. Those seeking a softer option for their backhand shots may want to consider other rubbers.

Additional Specifications:

The rubber’s weight-cut construction results in a weight of 50g for a 2.2mm H45 sheet.

DHS Hurricane 8 Rubber Review

This rubber offers excellent performance at a competitive price point. When paired with a DHS Fang Bo B2X blade on the forehand side, it delivers medium-fast speed and exceptional control, allowing for effortless handling of topspins and drives.

While its tackiness is slightly lower than the Battle 2 Pro rubber, it still provides sufficient spin for forehand flicks with proper technique. Moreover, its weight is significantly lighter than the Battle 2, resulting in increased precision and control.

Remarkably, my friend has successfully employed this rubber on the backhand using Chinese backhand techniques akin to Wang Chuqin. With ease, he executes backhand flicks with impressive precision and power.

SpinLord Marder II

The SpinLord Marder II is an ITTF-approved and authorized rubber for plastic balls that surpasses Friendship’s current offerings in terms of properties. Its speed is moderate, making it ideal for backhand play.

The tackiness of the Marder II is comparable to that of rubbers like the Origin or Super FX. This provides a good balance of spin and control, allowing players to execute precise shots while still maintaining a high level of spin.
