Rubber description:

This is a tensor rubber characterized by its notably soft sponge and high-quality, European-style topsheet. Unlike traditional Chinese rubbers, it features a non-tacky or only slightly tacky surface, providing a grippy feel that offers reliable control. The rubber is engineered for players who favor a softer feel and is frequently compared to European alternatives for its playing characteristics.

Performance Characteristics

  • Speed and Dwell Time: The rubber is categorized as relatively slow, requiring a blade with the right flex to maximize its potential. It performs optimally on soft-to-medium, all-wood blades; pairing it with stiff or carbon blades can result in a “dead” sensation and an undesirable, low throw angle.
  • Spin Generation: It relies on mechanical spin rather than high surface friction. To generate significant spin, players must engage the soft sponge through the ball rather than relying on thin, brushing loops. Its grippy surface makes it forgiving for blocking, pushing, and executing spinny serves.
  • Suitability: It is well-suited for all-rounders and players looking to develop European-style strokes. It is particularly effective for controlled blocking and mid-distance looping, but it is generally considered unsuitable for chopping or aggressive, high-speed power hitting. Due to its soft sponge and forgiving nature, it is often favored by players looking to improve backhand consistency.

A soft, light, grippy rubber that is ideal for reverse penhold (RPB) techniques. The grippy surface allows for easy generation of short, spinny serves while also being less sensitive to incoming spin. This makes it quite forgiving for executing pushes and blocks.

However, brush looping can be a bit challenging. To loop effectively, players need to ensure that their stroke goes through the ball and engages the sponge to generate mechanical spin.

Overall, this rubber is a spinny, all-around, Euro-like choice that is perfect for all-round players who prioritize both spin and control.

The rubber is simply too slow. It cannot be rated as 12, 11, 11 as claimed. Unless I received a fake product or it has gotten old, I find it excessively slow for my needs.

While it may serve well as a good defensive rubber, it is definitely not suitable for offensive play.

This rubber doesn’t fit my playing style. It is super slow, which is disappointing.
