Loki RXTON 5

Rubber description:

The Loki RXTON 5 is an advanced table tennis rubber that boasts a compelling combination of speed, spin, and control. With an impressive rating of 8.6 overall, this rubber is designed for players seeking to enhance their game without compromising on quality. The RXTON 5 features a slightly tacky black topsheet coupled with a hard, fine-pored orange sponge that allows for excellent responsiveness during play. Its medium-high speed and spin level make it suitable for a wide range of playing styles, particularly beneficial for powerful loops and counterloops.

When it comes to tackiness, the RXTON 5 has a score of 5.4, indicating a moderate level of grip that enables good spin generation. This balance allows it to perform well even in varied playing conditions. Players noted that while the initial feel of the rubber may seem underwhelming, once broken in, it reveals its potential for top-notch performance. The RXTON 5 is classified as having a medium weight, weighing approximately 47 grams when cut, making it a manageable option for players who prefer a slightly heavier setup.

Durability is another noteworthy aspect; it maintains its performance over time, scoring a 7.7 in that regard. However, some players have reported that the longevity of the rubber can be affected by heavy usage or abrasive playing surfaces, suggesting that care and maintenance are crucial for preserving its quality.

As for alternatives, players seeking similar characteristics might consider rubbers like DHS Hurricane 3 or the RXTON III, but many users agree that the RXTON 5 provides exceptional value, especially for those stepping up their game. Overall, the Loki RXTON 5 stands out as a reliable, well-rounded option for competitive players looking for a blend of speed, spin, and control in their table tennis arsenal.

Similar to H3, the rubber boasts a slightly faster and livelier sponge. However, it remains slower than B2, Bloom Power, and Big Dipper, according to my observations. It features a tacky topsheet and a dense sponge.

This rubber exhibits excellent boosting capabilities and serves as a highly reliable hard-tacky forehand rubber. It excels in executing powerful loops and counterloops. With minimal drawbacks, this rubber effectively fulfills its purpose.

Black colour, ordered hopp store from aliexpress. Hard surface blade off: too fast for forehand, good for backhand. Off- blade with soft limba surface: only forehand or extremely boosted bh. Out of box lot of tackiness, later on I have boosted it and it lost the tacky ness, but surface hadn’t lost spin but turned into almost no tacky rubber with more speed, grippy.

Spin: comparing to Battle 2 almost the same, just tiny slower, speed also a bit slower when tacky at start but now quite bouncy. Spin reverse: very good, almost Battle 2 level. Throw: medium low just like Bloom Power/Battle 2.

Considering the price: the best option right now. Very recommended by me. I need to order a 2nd one and check out the tackiness issue, if it is loosing its because of booster dips into topsheet, or time makes it having less…
