Blade description:

The Butterfly Primorac EX is a high-performance table tennis blade designed for players seeking an exceptional balance between speed and control. This blade features a composition of 5 plies of wood, crafted to enhance precision and responsiveness during play. Ideal for aggressive offensive players as well as those who prefer strategic control, the Primorac EX delivers a speed rating of 8.3, making it suitable for a variety of playing styles.

Weighing in at approximately 85 grams, the Primorac EX is considered lightweight, allowing players to maneuver quickly and execute fast shots without sacrificing control. With a thickness of 5.7 mm, this blade provides a solid feel while still offering good feedback during ball contact. The blade’s medium flexibility enhances playability, striking a balance that suits both looping and flat hitting techniques.

Players favorability is highlighted in the blade’s exemplary control rating of 9.2, reflecting its capacity to provide accurate shots, even when using high-speed rubbers like Tenergy or heavy looping rubbers such as DHS Hurricane Neo. A consistency rating of 10 indicates that players can rely on the Primorac EX for reliable performance, whether at the table or from mid-distance.

For those considering alternatives, the Primorac EX stands as an upgraded option compared to the original Primorac model, featuring a slightly enhanced speed and catapult effect. Other blades worth exploring include different models within the Butterfly line or similar offerings from brands like Stiga or Yasaka, which may also cater to varying preferences in speed, control, and play style. Overall, the Primorac EX exemplifies the evolution of table tennis blades, making it a valuable choice for players aiming to sharpen their competitive edge.

Bought this blade and have been using it almost every day. I paired it with DHS Hurricane Neo 3 (forehand) and Friendship Cream Transcend (backhand), and I am very pleased with the overall performance. The blade offers excellent control, considering the high throw of the backhand rubber and the springy bounce of the forehand rubber. Despite the additional weight of the Neo 3, the blade still feels very light. The stiffness of the blade is manageable, allowing me to sense the ball’s location and execute higher-quality shots. This blade is highly recommended for those seeking an edge in competition.

The control on this racket seems to be good because of its softness, allowing me to provide better shots. It is not too stiff, and the speed is reasonable. The blade is not too heavy, so I can provide some fast shots, but I think I will get a lighter penhold bat. Loops are also good with this blade. I use Tenergy 25 with this blade, but I think I need faster speed, so I will upgrade to Tenergy 64.

This blade is exceptional. Out of all the blades I have used, this one is the best. It offers excellent control.
