Blade description:

The Butterfly Zhang Jike blade combines advanced materials and traditional craftsmanship, delivering an exceptional playing experience tailored for offensive players. This blade features a unique composition of 2 plies of arylate carbon and 5 plies of wood, which provides a harmonious balance between power and control. With a thickness of 7.1 mm, it offers a medium stiffness rating of 3.5, contributing to a solid feel during play while maintaining a significant level of feedback.

Weighing in at 90 grams, the Zhang Jike blade is considered lightweight, which enhances maneuverability and quick reactions during fast-paced rallies. Its design favors players who prefer aggressive styles, such as looping and counter-attacking, by enabling powerful shots that can be carefully controlled. The blade’s optimal weight, combined with its flexibility, ensures it remains a preferred choice among both amateur and professional athletes.

While many players praise the blade for its precise control and consistency, some have pointed out challenges in touch shots and blocking, indicating that it might not suit everyone’s playing style. Nevertheless, it has been favorably compared to other high-performance blades like the Viscaria and Timo Boll ALC, often noted for its better handle comfort and adaptability to various rubber types.

For alternate options, players might consider blades within the same arylate-carbon category, such as the Timo Boll Spirit or even other variants from Butterfly’s lineup, keeping in mind that preferences can greatly vary based on individual playing styles. Regardless, the Butterfly Zhang Jike remains a highly regarded choice for those seeking a blend of speed, control, and spin, particularly when paired with premium rubbers.

This blade is made of high-quality wood and has a good feel in the hand. It provides good control and power, but the ball tends to wobble when hit at high speeds. The blade is also quite heavy, which can make it difficult to use for extended periods.

Despite these drawbacks, the blade is still a good choice for beginners or intermediate players who are looking for a blade that is easy to control and provides good power. However, more experienced players may find that the blade is too slow and lacks the precision needed for competitive play.

Overall, this blade is a good value for the price and is a good choice for beginners or intermediate players. However, more experienced players may find that the blade is too slow and lacks the precision needed for competitive play.

XVT Dragon ALC plays better than this non-linear crap.

This blade has a very poor touch in shots and blocking. Despite being made in Japan, it plays as if it were made by Reaktor, which is known for low-quality products.
