Loki Red Flame
Blade description:
The Loki Red Flame is an all-wood, high-performance offensive blade featuring a 7-ply construction. It utilizes an outer layer of Rosewood over an Ayous core, resulting in an overall blade thickness of approximately 5.6mm to 5.7mm. Visually distinguished by its red-stained wood aesthetics, the blade is designed for players who prefer the feedback and natural flex associated with traditional wooden equipment over composite alternatives.
Playing Characteristics
- Feel and Feedback: Known for a distinct, crisp wood feeling, the blade provides high-quality sensory feedback during ball contact. Users report a notable acoustic response and a balance between elasticity and structural stability.
- Speed and Trajectory: The blade offers a high arc, making it well-suited for loop-oriented offensive play. While it produces ample speed, its performance is highly dependent on rubber selection; it performs most effectively when paired with hard, high-density sponges, which help compensate for the bladeâs thin profile and inherent flex.
- Tactical Suitability: It is categorized as a versatile offensive tool that excels in topspin-heavy rallies. While it handles looping with ease, flatter hitting may require deliberate pairing with harder, non-tacky or boosted rubbers to maintain sufficient stability and power.

A very beautiful and easy to play blade. It sure surprised me! I played with Donic Bluegrip C2 fh and MX-D bh. It was very good.

This is an awesome blade, with great speed and control. It is good for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. The blade is also very durable and can withstand a lot of use.

Itâs a very thin hardwood blade (5.6mm), with no carbon. So please donât trust the words that itâs close to Stiga Rosewood 7 or Clipper, which are all stiff blades. In my opinion, itâs very close to Stiga Ebenholz 5, high arc, and high speed, which is good for looping but not that good for hitting unless you use very hard rubbers. For me, it matches well with Donic Desto F1 on BH, and Ok with Donic Bluefire M1 on FH (a brand new M1 is too much flex, an old one is much better). Considering the cost, itâs a great deal, just like what the manufacturer says - affordable price and high-quality product.
