Blade description:

The 7.6 Carbo is a composite blade featuring a 5+2 construction, designed for aggressive offensive play. It is characterized by its high speed and significant power potential, making it well-suited for mid-distance topspin rallies and effective blocking. While some users report a heavier, head-weighted balance, this weight distribution is engineered to maximize spin production and deliver force precisely where it is most effective on the blade face.

Playing Characteristics

  • Feel and Control: Despite its high-speed performance, the blade offers a distinct touch, providing enough feedback for short, delicate touches and accurate placement. Users note that while the blade is powerful, control is attainable with practice and familiarity.
  • Spin Capability: The blade is highly effective for spin-oriented play, with its construction aiding in the generation of heavy topspin.
  • Rubber Compatibility: The blade performs well with a variety of rubber types. It shows strong synergy with both tacky Chinese rubbers and modern, softer tensioned rubbers.
  • Versatility: The design is favored by both shakehand players and traditional penhold players, particularly those utilizing a penhold backhand. It remains stable during fast, reactive movements such as blocking and pushing.

I used this blade actively for three years, and kept it for the next seven years. When I changed the rubbers on it, it deformed. However, I didn’t throw it away; I fixed it and still keep it.

- The head is heavier, evacuated for the handle, and has air in it. The balance is adjusted in such a way that the greatest force comes to the most effective area for spin. It’s a real spin master. — You will have difficulty in controlling on very bouncy tires. However, I can say that it is more compatible with Chinese tires, which are a little sticky and light. — When I played with it, I felt safe at every distance. If you like more spin, this blade is for you.

I had to rate this blade very highly. When I first got this blade, I did not think I would like it. The balance is not graceful, and it is very heavy (which I don’t mind). It has a surprisingly good “feel” to it when you hit the ball. It has a lot of power, seems to be very accurate, and is easily controlled for a blade of this power. I still don’t like the way it feels in my hand or the balance of it. It is kind of like a club, but I find that when I get to playing or practicing, it gets the job done very well. It also appears to be very well constructed.

I haven’t had it long and will write more later.

I have been using this blade for 8 months now, and it has proven to be the perfect fit for me. It is best to invest time in learning to control it, as once you do, you can execute beautiful and powerful topspins, as well as very short touches. This blade combines optimal speed with attainable control, making it well-suited to aggressive table tennis styles.
