Blade description:

The Yasaka Sweden Classic is a well-regarded table tennis blade that excels in versatility and control, making it a top choice for players of all skill levels, from beginners to more seasoned competitors. This all-round blade features a wooden composition that prioritizes feel and feedback, essential for those who appreciate precision in their shots. The Sweden Classic strikes an excellent balance between speed and control, boasting a speed rating of 65 and an impressive control rating of 92, ensuring that players can place their shots accurately regardless of play style.

Weighing in at approximately 82g and with a thickness of 5mm, the Yasaka Sweden Classic offers a lightweight feel that fosters agility during rallies. Its medium stiffness (2.8) and hardness (3.5) contribute to a surprisingly flexible playing experience that can adapt to various techniques, allowing players to generate significant spin while maintaining a solid connection with the ball. Although some players note a perceived slowness, this characteristic becomes advantageous when paired with different rubbers, enabling a personalized approach to offense and defense.

For those seeking alternatives, the Yasaka Sweden Extra may be a suitable option, offering a slightly stiffer feel better suited for players who require more punch in their shots. Overall, the Yasaka Sweden Classic is perfect for players focused on mastering their control and enjoying a forgiving blade that can grow with their skills.

The blade suits very technical all-around players. It facilitates a slow yet high-rotation style of gameplay. It’s also a good option for young players just starting out. However, for most others, it might prove too slow, soft, and flexible, and may cause problems with acceleration.

The ball feeling with Yasaka blades is unmatched. This blade is perfect for beginners with a defense/all-round mindset. Chops are very good, blocks are amazing, but it’s also good for learning any other stroke. Highly recommended.

Very good blade for beginners and players with little experience. It offers excellent control, but it is slower. The anatomic handle provides a comfortable grip.
