Blade description:

The Yinhe MC-2 is a meticulously crafted table tennis blade designed to deliver exceptional control and stability for players seeking precision in their game. Known for its 5-ply composition, the MC-2 features a robust construction that provides a harmonious balance between speed and spin, making it a formidable choice for both beginners and intermediate players. The use of carbon in its design enhances its performance, allowing for powerful strokes while ensuring a high degree of touch and feel.

Weighing in at a comfortable 88 grams and with a thickness of 6 mm, the MC-2 falls into the medium weight category, making it versatile for various playing styles. The blade’s stiffness rating of 4 offers a blend of rigidity and flexibility, enabling players to execute energetic loops and powerful smashes without compromising control. This flexibility makes it particularly appealing for spin-oriented players who rely on dwell time for effective looping at the table.

The MC-2 is highly regarded for its exceptional control, rated at 10, which allows players to maneuver the ball with precision. Although it may not deliver explosive power from a distance, it excels in close-to-the-table play where touch and reaction time are crucial. Many players have found it pairs excellently with sticky Chinese rubbers, enhancing its ability to generate spin.

For those exploring alternatives, the MC-2 is often compared to other blades like the DHS HK655 and Stiga Offensive Tube but is praised for its affordability and performance balance. Overall, the Yinhe MC-2 presents an excellent choice for players looking for consistency and control in their table tennis experience.

MC-2 is a stable blade with good control and the ability to generate spin. This blade is on the stiffer side, providing good stability while performing power loops from mid-distance. It pairs well with DHS TG2NEO (FH) and G555 (BH). I am highly satisfied with this blade and would recommend it to a friend.

Paired with 729-08 49-degree FH and 47 BH, this budget setup was initially intended as a backup paddle to keep in the office for playing with coworkers. However, I unexpectedly ended up using it as my main blade. It is an excellent option for beginners, offering superb control and the ability to generate significant spin with forceful hits.

One drawback is that it lacks power when playing farther from the table. I recommend considering 729-08, 47 FH, and 45 BH as an alternative setup.

Great 5-ply off- blade for spin-oriented players. Loads of dwell time and excellent for looping.
