Yinhe T-10+

Blade description:

This is an ultra-lightweight composite blade featuring a 3+2 construction. It utilizes a thick balsa core combined with hard outer plies and thin carbon layers. Due to its significant thickness and stiffness, it generates high speed with very little vibration, providing a distinct, dampened feel that favors an aggressive, offensive-oriented playing style.

Playing Characteristics

  • Speed and Stiffness: This is an exceptionally fast and stiff blade. The combination of its construction and lack of vibration makes it highly efficient for flat hitting, smashing, and mid-to-far distance play.
  • Dwell and Trajectory: The blade is characterized by a very short dwell time and a low throw angle. This makes it challenging to generate high arcs or loops, particularly for players who rely on softer rubbers or slower techniques.
  • Feel and Handling: Despite the stiff, dull feedback in the hand, players report a unique sensation where the ball feels as though it is biting deeply into the rubber topsheet. The blade is notably lightweight, often weighing under 80 grams, though its thick head and handle can require an adjustment period.
  • Rubber Compatibility: The blade performs best when paired with slow, spinny, tacky Chinese rubbers or hard, fast rubbers. While it excels at blocking and counter-looping in the hands of high-skill players, it can be difficult to control during delicate touch play or short-game scenarios near the net.

Absolute monster of a blade. I have a Battle 2 Nation (blue sponge, hardness: 41) on the forehand and a Mercury 2 Hard on the backhand. It’s a missile!

The blade is thick, with a balsa core wrapped in Cypress layers. It is probably the thickest blade on the market. It suits my extra-offensive style 100%. Every shot is an attack, no matter the type: top spin/drive, loop, smash, chop. All shots are offensive-oriented. The ball bounces so fast on the table that your opponent does not have a chance to see it!

No vibrations, good control, very short dwell time. The fastest blade I have ever played with. Pure fun!

The blade I tried was extremely fast and stiff, making it challenging to control. I experimented with Spinlord Waran short pips and Xiom Omega Pro, but due to the short contact times and flat throwing angle, it was challenging to control the pips and execute attacks if I was even a bit late.

As a result, I switched to the Yinhe T11S blade, which although slower, is much easier to control and has a higher throw angle.

The only downside is that it is a bit heavy, which can be tiring to use for long periods of time. Overall, this is a great blade for the price and is a good choice for players of all skill levels.

Pros:

* Well-made with a good feel in the hand * Responsive, allowing for quick and precise shots * Good value for the price
