Fantastic carbon blade with almost no carbon ping. It is called the wood king because it has the great feel of wood blades with the added stability of carbon. Mid distance looping blade.
I use Coppa X1 on FH and Outlaw on BH, 175 g. I’m not sure which side I prefer, as both are exceptional. The FH side offers excellent touch and spin at slower speeds, sharp loops at higher speeds, and effortless smashes. The Outlaw side produces stinging backhands with blistering speed.
The blade delivers a satisfying feel and sound. Control is impressive, surpassing many other blades I’ve used. Yinhe rates it as a 7, but I perceive it to be closer to a 9. The only aspect that presents a challenge is chopping, which requires more effort compared to other blades. However, I’m determined to improve my touch to overcome this limitation. Despite its chopping weaknesses, this blade excels in hitting and looping.
One of the best OFF (not OFF+) carbon blades made for less than $99.
It has a very good balance and a great feeling for such a fast carbon blade. I suspect that the carbon layers are positioned a little deeper than on a regular carbon blade, giving it better touch and more control.
It does everything well — not super-duper great but really well in all departments, which makes it very suitable for control attackers and offensive players who mix it up with placement shots.
