Andro Rasanter C53
Rubber description:
This rubber is a hybrid that combines the high spin potential and dwell time associated with tacky Chinese-style rubbers with the dynamic, elastic performance of modern European tension sponges. It is engineered to excel in the counter-looping game, providing a reliable trajectory that allows players to engage in aggressive rallies with high confidence. While it exhibits a slight tackiness initially, the surface transitions to a highly grippy characteristic after a short break-in period, facilitating exceptional spin generation on both short pushes and heavy topspin strokes.
Performance Characteristics
- Dwell Time and Feel: The sponge offers a unique feel, appearing stiff at lower impact speeds but becoming increasingly responsive and softer as the intensity of the stroke increases. This enables a high level of control during delicate play, such as service returns and pushes, while allowing the player to engage the sponge fully for powerful drives.
- Speed and Trajectory: The rubber provides moderate to high speed that is accessible and predictable. It does not possess excessive, uncontrollable pace, making it well-suited for controlled aggression. It maintains a secure, consistent arc over the net, which assists in keeping shots on the table even during high-tempo exchanges.
- Versatility: Capable of performing at both the table and mid-distance, it is effective for a wide range of techniques, including blocking, flicking, and defensive chopping. It serves as an effective alternative for players seeking high-end performance in a versatile package, offering a balanced feel that is equally capable on both the forehand and backhand sides.

Very strong rubber. Spins are very effective and control is very good. Not very fast, but excessive speed is not a good thing anyway.

Tried out as an alternative to Tibhar K3 and Butterfly Dignics 09C; this is a cheaper option than Butterfly. For me, when switching to underspin defense, I found it easier to generate more bite and lower trajectory than K3. This may be a technique issue on my part. I have a K3 FX on one blade with C53 on the reverse; they perform similarly and are both easy to use. I can use either on forehand or backhand; twiddling is easy and gives a slightly different effect - it won’t catch an opponent out but can disrupt rhythm and occasionally produce a loose reply. I see all 3 of these rubbers as very similar.
TT11 has the best price point and service that I have come across.

I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT IS A GOOD RUBBER, BUT I PREFER C48 FOR ALL-ROUND USE.
