This rubber excels in service return.

Only good if you have a super fast blade.
Lots of spin but no speed.
Alright for blocking, but would be better with a higher throw.
Best for pushing.

Palio CJ8000 Rubber Review

The Palio CJ8000 rubber is a great choice for its price point. It boasts exceptional tackiness, even surpassing that of the renowned Hurricane series. This makes it an ideal rubber for returning serves with precision.

Looping is another strong suit of the CJ8000, earning an average to above average rating. However, as noted by another reviewer, it may not excel in long-drawn-out rallies. It is better suited for shorter games.

Despite this minor limitation, the CJ8000 performs exceptionally well in pushing and backhand shots. Its excellent control allows for precise and effortless pushes.

Currently, I am using the CJ8000 rubber in combination with a DHS CW-C blade, and I find this combination to be highly effective and enjoyable to play with.

This rubber is suitable for players learning strokes.
It excels in backhand block, chop, push, and counter techniques, but is limited in other areas.
It has a defensive nature and is notably slow.
Despite its slowness, it offers good durability, which is a common characteristic of Chinese rubbers.

A classic! Feels even harder than a sheet of 729FX. The G555 is very spinny and plays an excellent serve and attack game.

However, it requires technical know-how to use Chinese rubbers. You’ve got to hit/loop with the right ratio and the right amount of wrist action.

The short game of this rubber is simply amazing. I have a 90% flickking accuracy with this. And short spinny pushes are almost unattackable.

A big disadvantage of the rubber is its lack of long distance ability. Even with a giant loop, it’s difficult to get the ball to work from 3-5 metres back. Even if you get the ball on, you would’ve slapped too much to impact decent spin.

In table tennis, service returns are the single biggest factor that decides how well you play. Most people attack with serves on the backhand.

This is a great rubber to have on your backhand, especially for service returns.

I find this the best rubber to negate excessive spin on serves and chops.

I used to lose to this one guy in the gym all the time because he had a lot of trick serves. With this rubber, I can only see the trick serves, but the rubber just negates all his spin with a simple chop. Unbebelievable! I beat the guy 5 games in a row, denting his ego big time.

Excellent backhand rubber! Great for loops close to the table as well as mid distance. Pushes are easy to keep low and have great control.
