The Donic Acuda S2 is a high-performance table tennis rubber that has earned acclaim for its excellent balance of speed, spin, and control. Designed with intermediate to advanced players in mind, this rubber features a medium-hard sponge (approximately 42.5) that enables exceptional performance across various play styles. The topsheet is not highly tacky, allowing for greater spin insensitivity, which helps players still make effective returns against heavy spins. This characteristic makes it a versatile choice for aggressive attackers who also value control in their game.
In terms of weight, the Acuda S2 is rated as medium, which contributes to its excellent maneuverability without compromising power. Reviews indicate that players appreciate its ability to generate significant topspin on loops while maintaining a stable feel during fast exchanges at the table. Its durability is rated adequately, with many players reporting that it maintains its performance even after extensive use, although some users have noted that the rubber may lose grip after a couple of weeks of heavy play.
For those considering alternatives, the Acuda S2 is often compared to the Butterfly Tenergy 05, providing a more cost-effective option with slightly lower speed and spin capabilities. Other rubbers mentioned in discussions include Donic’s own Acuda S1 and Yasaka’s Rakza 7, which players may explore depending on their preferences for speed, control, and spin. Overall, the Donic Acuda S2 stands out as a fantastic all-around rubber that can meet the diverse needs of attacking players while offering a reliable and enjoyable playing experience.
Excelente producto, lo recomiendo.
I have tried T05/T05 Hard/T05 FX/T19/T80 FX. Acuda S2 has the same spring sponge, not as bouncy but more control and easier response on every shot. I don’t know if I will ever go back to Tenergy. I am using Acuda on the backhand and forehand. I am also using ZLC blade.
I love S2, especially on the forehand side.
