Donic Acuda S1 is a high-performance table tennis rubber designed for attacking players who seek speed and power in their game. With a speed rating of 9.2 and a spin rating of 9.1, it delivers exceptional offensive capabilities, making it ideal for aggressive gameplay. The rubber features a harder topsheet which provides a solid feel upon impact, facilitating powerful shots, particularly on the forehand. Players must engage their body and arm to utilize this rubber effectively, as it requires an active touch for optimal performance.
In terms of tackiness, Acuda S1 is rated low (1.9), which contributes to its spin-insensitive properties—an advantage when countering heavy spins from opponents. The weight is classified as medium (4.6), ensuring that it feels stable yet agile during play. Durability is another strong point, rated at 7, allowing players to rely on consistent performance over time without the rubber degrading quickly. This is complemented by an impressive overall rating of 9.1, showcasing its value among competitive players.
For those considering alternatives, other popular options include Donic’s Acuda S2 or the renowned Tenergy series. While S1 offers excellent speed and control—making it suitable for both forehand and backhand shots—some may find it less forgiving for inexperienced players due to its high demand for precision and timing. Overall, Donic Acuda S1 stands out as a solid choice for intermediate to advanced players looking for a rubber that combines speed, control, and durability in dynamic gameplay.
This rubber doesn’t feel like a top-end one, but it has a similar feeling to T05 with that bouncy trampoline effect. It can make spinny shots and has good control, especially when blocking heavy spin. It has a soft feeling with a high throw, making it suitable for intermediate all+ off- players.
Fast rubber, because of the harder top sheet you have a harder feel.
It doesn’t forgive; you must activate this rubber with arm movement.
It has very big spin and speed potential but you must brush the ball strongly. If you do that correctly, you will be rewarded.
Spin insensitive which is very nice.
It grabs the ball very well, it has a nice clicking sound, and it is durable.
Medium weight, medium-low throw.
Overall, very good rubber in my case for forehand.
In short:
The topsheet is harder than S1 Turbo, while the sponge is a bit softer.
