The Donic Acuda S1 Turbo is a high-performance table tennis rubber designed for aggressive players who prioritize speed and spin. This tensor rubber is engineered to enhance offensive play, making it an ideal choice for those who enjoy executing powerful topspin loops and smashes. With a speed rating of 10 and a spin rating also at 10, it delivers exceptional performance on the table, allowing players to unleash devastating shots with ease.
In terms of tackiness, the rubber exhibits a moderate level at 3.2, which strikes a balance between control and the ability to generate significant spin. This quality makes it advantageous for players looking to add aggressive spin to their game without sacrificing too much control. Weighing in at a medium 6.1, the Acuda S1 Turbo is substantial enough to provide a solid feel while remaining manageable during play.
Durability is another aspect where this rubber shines, scoring a respectable 7 on the durability scale, although some players have noted a decrease in performance after 40-80 hours of play. This can be a consideration for frequent competitors. For those seeking alternatives, rubbers such as the Tibhar Evolution MXP and Butterfly Tenergy series may come to mind, but the unique characteristics of the Acuda S1 Turbo make it a standout choice for attackers. Overall, this rubber has received rave reviews from players of varying skill levels, solidifying its place among top-tier options for offensive gameplay.
Just started using this after Tibhar Evolution MXP. Firstly, I found it a bit more tacky than I expected, almost like Chinese rubber. My sheet is red with max sponge. The rubber seemed to look quite shiny, but maybe this goes away after a while. I’m using it on a fast, stiff blade (Yinhe T11+). After a couple of hours’ use, I really like it. I have to use more effort than with MXP, but I found it easier to hit harder without over-hitting and the ball going long. Occasionally with this Donic rubber, it seemed almost hard to miss the table. From first impressions, I would say I prefer this to MXP.
Speed is nothing without spin. Remember that.
Very good! Has it all. I got a couple of these from Jörgen Persson, who plays in my club, and I got very impressed, so I bought it myself. That was like 5 years ago.
