Butterfly Diode Pro

Update after the first session:

• Blade: Diode Pro 90gr
• The FH side: H3 Neo market 39 deg

• Very heavy top spin, but speed is slower than FangBo2X (of course, because FB is off++)
• 5-ply all wood 5.5mm gives the catapult effect much bigger than FangBo2X 6.0mm with inner carbon. You can return the ball slowly with passive block, but kick-effect is huge when counterattacking.
• Very heavy backspin due to long contact time with the ball. With tacky H3 rubber, you can feel like holding the ball on your bat.
• Flat hit at average speed
• Nice placement
• Block almost automatic, the ball cannot go out of the table due to its average speed.

• The BH side: Saviga Monster 77 ox

• Block near the table is almost automatic; actually, you cannot miss, just catch the ball and the bat will do it itself. So boring (or funny, ha ha ha). Blocking the topspin, the ball always goes short with heavy backspin. It is really hard for the opponent to launch a dangerous attack. They will choose a safer and slower attack, which you can counterattack or just continue to block.
• Chop far from the table is so sweet, the ball goes very low, near the net, and the flight trajectory is sooo nice.
• Very controllable placement
• Just changed from pimple-in to long pips 2 months ago and do not have other long pip skills to review. Summary:
• Speed is above average (feeling like ALL+ to OFF-) to loop kill with heavy monster topspin
• Can-not-miss feeling with magic placement
• Suitable for counterattack or modern defender players

It’s a slow blade that has a lot of control and allows you to chop even harder, but also has enough speed for attacking. The sound of the blade also makes it obvious that the blade is slow. If you want to add speed, I would suggest putting a faster kind of rubber like Tenergy 64 and a bit faster kind of pimples or a thicker sponge, minimum 1.0mm to 1.5mm.
