Innershield Layer ZLF Table Tennis Blade

Composite 5-Ply Blade

The Innershield Layer ZLF blade shares the same construction as the Innershield ZLF but is considered to be the next generation. It provides a soft feel with a stiff composition. The ZLF layers contribute to its rigidity while still maintaining a soft touch. This combination is ideal for players utilizing long pimples with sponge, particularly with a thickness of 0.5mm or more. Additionally, it pairs well with a medium to hard backside rubber.

The blade exhibits a balanced speed, not as sluggish as some options but not as lightning-fast as the Joo or Matsushita Offensive blades. It’s suitable for both chopping and attacking styles.

While the Innershield Layer ZLF excels in performance, it comes at a premium price point.

I’m not a specialist in defensive blades, but I play in a semi-defensive style. This blade is not slow and can produce very good spin. The feel sometimes reminds me of the Primorac Off-. I played against one opponent with another Off- blade, and then with the Innershield. He was shocked that the defensive blade was much faster in the game.
