Composite/carbon
This is a very good modern defender blade.
Remember that this blade has a lot of its weight on its head (even without rubbers on it). Someone, like me, doesn’t like it.
Sorry for my poor English. I’m from the ASEAN region.
I use the Matsushita Pro Special blade with Long Pips Meteorite 0.5 and Hurricane III rubber. I feel like I can control my backhand very well, and chop-blocking is easy for a newcomer like me.
Forehand attacks with the Hurricane rubber are reliable.
I have tried many defensive blades in the past, but the Matsushita impressed me the most from the first time I tried it.
There are better chopping blades available.
However, if one mixes in active attacks such as pip blocks or punches and loops, there is no other blade that I have used that combines these abilities as well as this one.
The carbon provides a large sweet spot, and the willow provides speed absorption and greater control.
Review:
This blade provides excellent control, making it ideal for modern defenders. Its forehand side offers sufficient speed for launching attacks. Defenders will find chopping with pips a delight due to the blade’s exceptional control. While its backspin production could be enhanced, it more than compensates with ample power. To optimize performance, pair this blade with relatively hard-sponged inverted rubbers. Conversely, soft rubbers like Tenegy 64 and sponges with a hardness rating below 38 degrees may feel excessively mushy.
