Blade description:

This all-wood blade is characterized by a thin profile, typically measuring around 5 mm in thickness. It offers a medium-to-fast playing speed, making it suitable for offensive strategies close to the table and at mid-distance. The construction provides a distinctive sense of vibration, allowing players to receive clear tactile feedback regarding ball contact.

Playing Characteristics

  • Feel and Dwell: The blade features a semi-flexible nature, which enhances dwell-time and supports topspin-oriented play, particularly when paired with softer rubbers.
  • Speed and Control: While capable of powerful blocks and aggressive attacking strokes, the speed of the blade can make delicate touch play, such as short returns, more challenging. It is generally considered a responsive, fast-paced offensive tool rather than one focused on defensive manipulation.
  • Suitability: It pairs effectively with a variety of rubber types, including semi-hard and hard sponges, as it maintains a consistent sensation and acoustic response.

Build Considerations

  • Structural Profile: Users should be aware that the outer veneers are relatively hard. This hardness contributes to the blade’s speed and crisp feedback, but the thin layers may be prone to splintering or edge damage if handled without care.
  • Consistency: The sweet spot is described as standard in size, and the blade provides a balanced performance for players with established technique who prioritize offensive consistency and feeling over high-level defensive control.

Fast all wood blade, perfect for attacking strokes and controlled loops (for me personally). The only negative I can really find is that the speed makes playing it short quite a lot harder.

This blade is highly recommended for offensive players who crave speed and a good feel for the ball. The extended dwell time allows for precise shots, but the blade’s fast speed may compromise control for some. It worked well with T05 and HN3 rubbers. Despite its affordability, the lack of control could be a drawback for those seeking more precision.

Pros: - Excellent feel - Impressive speed - Budget-friendly - Compatible with various rubbers

Cons: - Limited control, especially at high speeds

Ultimately, this blade is ideal for skilled players with a strong offensive style who can manage its speed. However, beginners or those lacking confidence in their technique may prefer a more controllable option.

Despite being faster than other blades, it has a normal sweet spot, which is not particularly large. It lacks any particular sound or control, but for a cheap blade, it performs adequately.
