Blade description:

The DHS Power-G PG9 is a high-performance table tennis blade designed for advanced and offensive players looking to enhance their game. Its construction features a unique 7-ply wooden design, with an outer Koto layer that provides a perfect combination of speed and control. This blade is recognized for its remarkable speed rating of 9, making it exceedingly fast and perfect for aggressive gameplay. Weighing in at 89 grams and measuring 6.3 mm in thickness, the PG9 strikes a balance between lightness and a substantial feel, allowing for powerful strokes while maintaining excellent handling.

Flexibility is a key characteristic of the PG9, offering a moderate amount of flex that supports dynamic looping. This blend of speed and flexibility makes it an ideal choice for players who enjoy mixing power with controlled topspin. While it excels in offensive maneuvers like looping and smashing, it is particularly well-suited for mid-distance attacks, allowing players to maintain control during fast rallies and challenging spins. However, its high speed and low dwell time make it less suitable for all-around or beginner players, who may struggle with its aggressive response.

For those seeking alternatives, the DHS Power-G PG7 provides a slightly different experience, being faster but with reduced control. Players who prefer similar high-quality options could consider other popular blades in the market that feature carbon layers, but many find that the unique combination of speed and control in the PG9 stands out among its competitors. Overall, the DHS Power-G PG9 is a versatile and efficient blade ideal for serious offensive players who are proficient in utilizing its advanced features.

This is a very good 7-ply blade. It is very good for forehand looping from mid-distance. There is a lot of control and consistency along with spin and speed. Plays close to a carbon blade in terms of mid-distance play with the woody feeling. My consistency improved playing with this blade. I like the forehand of this blade. However, the backhand is less than ideal. I bought 2 pieces and noticed that the thickness of the handles differed slightly between the pieces. The 2nd piece that I bought has the better handle like the typical narrow DHS handles that I like. The first piece has a slightly thicker handle that I did not like too much.

OFF blade with 7 layers of wood, it is softer and faster than Power-G 7. This makes it perfect for looping in mid to long distance from the table.

I was hoping the DHS G9 would be an improved version of the G7. That was not the case. Maybe a little faster, but less feeling. Greetings, BN.
