I have purchased all three Kirin blades in this series, and this one is the easiest to play with. It offers a lot of control and enough speed to close the point from close to mid-distance.
I don’t know if the carbon layer is a real carbon layer or not, but I can confirm this cheap blade is a gem.
I own a lot of blades, from Stiga classic to Viscaria, so I know exactly how good blades feel and play. Trust me, give this one a chance.
That is my favorite blade for the price! It is the one I would recommend for every beginner and more experienced player for training and club-level competitions.
I already have four of these, and generally, the build quality is good. Weights range between 80-84 grams, and speeds are OFF-/OFF, between 1280-1350 Hz.
If you need the cheapest but decent blade, this is the way to go. Paired with something like Yinhe Mercury 2 or Palio CJ8000, it would beat almost all 3x-5x times more expensive premade bats.
This blade is currently available on Aliexpress from €2.50! The manufacturer claims the construction is: Ayous, nano carbon, poplar, Kiri core, although I doubt that this blade has a carbon layer.
Loki’s three new blades, Kirin 1, 2, and 3, are by far “the prettiest” you can buy for under $10. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if the carbon layer in this blade isn’t fake! But if it is, the Kirin 1 is an inner-layer blade.
I bought two pieces, one weighs 89 g, the second 90 g. The club face is 159 and 158 x 151 mm. The heavier blade is the faster, harder, and minimally “smaller”! Oh yes, by the way, I asked for the lightest blade available. The FL handle of the blade is for average-sized hands.
Since I generally deburr all blades on the handle and club face, I immediately noticed that the outer veneer is extremely soft. The club face should therefore ideally be sealed!
In conclusion, here too it is a mystery to me how such a blade can be offered on the market for such a low price. It is definitely recommended! The best choice under the three Kirins, for beginners and bargain hunters.
Addendum: K1 is significantly harder and more direct than K2 and K3! Unfortunately, with rubbers, it becomes top-heavy very quickly, and the handle has NO beautiful lens!
