Stiga Carbonix WRB

Blade description:

The Stiga Carbonix WRB is a composite blade featuring a 5+2 construction. It is recognized for its lightweight design and distinct bouncy characteristic, which contributes to a lively performance during fast-paced exchanges. Players often note that the blade offers enough speed for effective driving and looping while maintaining a balance that allows for versatile play across short, mid, and long-range distances.

Playing Characteristics

  • Feel and Dwell: The blade provides a medium feel that is neither overly stiff nor overly soft. Its internal construction allows for sufficient dwell time, facilitating better control and the ability to execute varied strokes including blocks and chops.
  • Performance: It is suited for players who prefer a fast blade that remains manageable. While it is highly capable in offensive scenarios, it requires a level of skill to master, particularly in the short game, where its responsiveness can be used to control the tempo.
  • Handling: The handle is notably large, which some players find helpful for grip and maneuverability. Because of its weight distribution, it pairs effectively with various rubbers to support both spin-oriented and fast attacking styles.

Use this blade with Joola Exp One FH and Sriver FX BH. Overall, it is a light blade that allows for fast play due to the Joola Exp One. It lacks the feel that you can get with using the BTY Zhang Jike but you need to keep the price in mind as well. The handle is a bit big but it helps. Overall, this is a good blade for fast rubbers.
