Tibhar Match
Blade description:
This is an all-wood blade designed specifically for players transitioning into the sport or building their first custom setup. It offers a balanced performance profile, prioritizing high levels of control to facilitate proper stroke development without being overly sluggish.
Playing Characteristics
- Feel and Control: The blade is noted for providing excellent ball feedback, allowing players to feel the contact during various strokes. While it offers enough speed for developing technique, the primary strength lies in its predictable control.
- Stiffness: The blade features a stiffer construction, which assists in keeping shots consistent.
- Weight and Ergonomics: The overall build leans toward the heavier side, which may impact maneuverability for younger players or those preferring lightweight setups. Users with larger hands may appreciate the handle length, particularly in the anatomic version, though some find the overall handle ergonomics less comfortable.
Construction and Maintenance
- Composition: This is an all-wood blade.
- Build Quality: While the blade is recognized for being a high-value option, the material composition is notably fragile. Care must be taken during the process of removing or changing rubber sheets to avoid damaging the surface, even when using light adhesives.

This blade is a great choice for beginners. It is a good all-around blade that is easy to use and control. It has a good balance of speed and control, making it a good choice for players of all levels.

This is a relatively good value blade. It was my second blade purchase, and while it was satisfactory, it wasn’t the best fit for me. For beginners looking to create their first custom paddle, this is a solid choice.
However, the blade is heavier and may not be ideal for children. While it offers excellent control without compromising speed, the blade is stiffer.
As far as quality goes, I believe it’s hard to find a better racket for the price. As a side note, the anatomic handle I chose is longer than any other blade I’ve owned, which may be suitable for individuals with larger hands.

This blade is very fragile. You have to be very careful when you remove rubber, even if it’s stuck with weak glue.
