Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition
Blade description:
The Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition is a high-quality, 7-ply all-wood offensive blade designed for versatile attackers. Frequently compared to classic clipper-style blades, it offers a balanced playing experience that prioritizes control, stability, and reliable feedback, making it an excellent option for players who want to maintain the woody feel while seeking an upgrade in performance.
Playing Characteristics
- Performance: Positioned at the lower end of the offensive speed range, this blade provides a consistent mix of power and control. It is particularly effective for close-to-table and mid-distance play, offering enough speed for aggressive loops and smashes without sacrificing stability in the short game.
- Feel and Dwell: The blade is known for its clear, woody touch and intuitive impact feedback. It provides moderate dwell time, which assists in creating spin, while its stiffness ensures that power is delivered directly when the player engages in active, full-amplitude strokes.
- Blocking: It is highly regarded as a “block machine.” The blade remains stable against incoming power, allowing players to redirect fast shots with precision and high control.
Construction and Design
- Composition: This is a 7-ply all-wood blade.
- Weight and Balance: While weight can vary by individual piece, it often trends toward being slightly head-heavy. This design choice contributes to its powerful, repulsive force during aggressive shots, though it may require players to have solid physical conditioning to maintain agility during fast transitions.
- Workmanship: The handle is frequently noted for its comfort and ergonomic shape, often praised for being more refined and well-finished than that of many competing brands. The overall build quality is highly regarded, offering a premium feel at a competitive price point.
The blade is versatile regarding rubber pairings and performs well with both modern European tensor rubbers and harder Chinese-style tacky rubbers. It is best suited for intermediate to advanced players who have developed their technique and are looking for a reliable, “do-it-all” wooden blade that rewards consistent form.

At the moment, this blade is my best option. Previously, I used (and still own) a Viscaria with Dignics 09C and Dignics 05, but it proved too fast for me.
On this blade, I use Nittaku Fastarc G-1 on the forehand and Xiom Vega Europe on the backhand. This is the optimal assembly for me, and it took considerable expense to discover. The blade offers good control, and the balls go where I aim.
I prefer to hit balls off the table on my backhand, so the Xiom with its soft sponge is ideal for this. On the forehand, the G-1 is controlled and fast, though not as high-performing as the Dignics 09C. It’s a good combination; try it, and you will save a lot of time.

The Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition had excellent reviews, which influenced my decision to choose this blade. I anticipated it might be heavy with a bulky handle, especially as it’s a special edition with a smaller handle.
However, the flared handle was a normal size and fit comfortably in my hand. The blade was also lighter compared to my Stiga Titanium Master blade, which was heavier and had a thicker handle. Playing has become easier, with smoother transitions between forehand and backhand.
I was concerned that I might not be able to handle this blade with MX-P rubbers, but the speed was comparable to my Stiga racket with Donic M1 rubbers.
Thanks to the Table Tennis 11 team for the excellent service. I ordered the product during the holiday season and was pleasantly surprised to receive it early, like a New Year’s gift. Thanks again.
