Tibhar Triple Carbon
Blade description:
This blade is a high-speed, composite offensive weapon designed for aggressive players who prioritize power and counter-attacking. Featuring a complex 8+3 construction (often referred to as an 11-ply composition), it incorporates three layers of carbon to significantly increase stiffness and ball speed. While it is built for high-velocity play, the blade remains surprisingly stable, allowing for effective blocking and mid-distance rallies.
Characteristics and Features
- Construction: Composite (8+3 construction).
- Performance: High stiffness with minimal vibration, providing a direct, crisp feel.
- Speed and Power: Categorized as an OFF+ blade, it excels in speed and raw power, making it well-suited for smashes, flat hits, and aggressive counter-attacks.
- Weight Distribution: The blade features peripheral weight distribution, which creates a sense of lightness in the hand despite its actual mass, allowing for quicker maneuvers.
- Playing Style: Best suited for advanced, offensive-minded players who compete mid-to-away from the table. It is less forgiving for beginners and may prove difficult for those who rely on high-arc, spin-heavy looping, as the stiffness can reduce dwell time and tactile feedback compared to all-wood blades.
Because of its fast nature, users suggest pairing it with tacky or hybrid rubbers to maintain control, rather than high-tension tensors which may make the setup too erratic. While it is highly capable in the hands of a skilled attacker, it requires precise footwork and consistent stroke technique to manage the blade’s significant power output.

I’ve been using this blade as my primary setup for the past week, and I’m surprised by how lightweight it feels. I paired it with a Tibhar Hybrid K3 on my forehand and a Nittaku Fastarc G1 on my backhand.
The combination generates incredible spin and speed when power is applied. It performs more like a Chinese-style blade, where the carbon activates with the player’s effort.
Before purchasing, I was concerned about a lack of control. However, I can still play my usual aggressive spin-oriented game, but with significantly improved power and speed.

Top blade. I tested this blade with rubber Andro Rasanter R37 ultramax. I bought the blade for 19 € at tabletennisshop.eu.

YINHE APOLLO + REACH C-7 (LP)
This blade is super fast and makes it easy to break balls. However, it is slightly heavy, so it is important not to use too much force when controlling the ball. The handle is also larger than average. The weight of the blade is 161g. It is a speed-dedicated blade, so it may be necessary to adjust your technique slightly to get the best results.
