Blade description:

The Yasaka Alnade is a high-performance table tennis blade that showcases a perfect blend of speed and control, making it an excellent choice for intermediate to advanced players. Developed collaboratively by skilled technicians from Japan and Sweden, this blade features a unique composition comprising five thin layers of wooden veneer complemented by two layers of PA Carbon, contributing to its responsive feel and rapid ball speed. The Alnade has gained popularity, particularly in Japan, for its capability to create significant spin while allowing for precise ball placement.

With a weight of 85 grams and a thickness of 5.8 mm, the Yasaka Alnade sits comfortably in the medium weight category. This ensures it feels balanced in hand, providing players with the necessary feedback without feeling overly cumbersome. The blade’s stiffness measures at 6.4, which, combined with its moderate flexibility, helps players execute various strokes effectively, from quick counter-attacks to powerful topspins. The Alnade’s construction not only promotes extraordinary speed—rated at 11—but also maintains control at an impressive 8, ensuring players can manage the ball with pinpoint accuracy.

For players who appreciate the advanced features of the Alnade but seek alternatives, similar options include the Butterfly Viscaria and Xiom Strad, though many users report that the Alnade provides a slightly higher speed while retaining enhanced control, particularly on serves and close-to-the-table play. Overall, the Yasaka Alnade is an exceptional blade that stands out for those looking to elevate their game through a combination of speed, spin, and superior control.

This is a good blade. I currently have H3 Commercial rubbers on both sides, but I plan to switch to Rakza 7 or Tenergy on the backhand in the future.

The blade provides a decent amount of dwell time on the ball because the PE carbon is next to the core. This gives it good feeling and control. However, when you hit hard, it is also fast.

For me, this blade is better than Viscaria and other arylate blades because it is not too fast for the intermediate level. Additionally, it has a longer dwell time than the Alnade Inner.

Overall, this is a pretty good blade for the value.

Fast Blade. Paired with FH Rakza 7 and BH Rakza 7 soft, the forehand is very powerful. It is very good for smashing and easy to spin with amazing spin.

With a Rakza 7 soft, the BH is easier to control. However, if you use a medium rubber, I think it will be more suitable for adding kick and spin.

It is very nice to play near the table and provides enough control when playing from further back.

The blade is ALC but with slightly higher speed than ALC, maybe close to ZLC.

I think Alnade is one of my favorite blades right now.

- Low control, making it difficult to handle the ball. — Tough, resulting in a hard feel when hitting the ball. — Bad short play, making it difficult to control the ball at close range. — Heavy weight of 92g, which can be tiring to use over extended periods.
