The Andro Plasma 470 is a high-performance table tennis rubber designed for aggressive, attacking players who prioritize speed and spin. With an impressive speed rating of 9.1, this rubber excels in fast-paced gameplay, making it ideal for powerful smashes and rapid loops. The spin rating of 8.7 indicates that players can impart significant rotation on the ball, enhancing offensive strategies and creating challenging returns for opponents.
In terms of tackiness, the Plasma 470 scores low at 0.8, which translates to a less grippy surface that may appeal to players who prefer a slicker touch for quick ball handling. The rubber’s weight is classified as medium at 2.4, providing a balanced feel that complements various playing styles without feeling cumbersome or too light. This balance contributes to the overall control rating of 8.5, giving players the ability to maneuver the ball effectively, although its high-speed characteristic may necessitate a degree of skill to master consistently.
Durability is an area where users express mixed feelings; the rubber has a durability rating of 7.3, suggesting that while it performs well initially, players may encounter wear and tear after several months of use. Reviewers note that while the rubber offers excellent performance in terms of looping and kill shots, it may not hold up as well over time, leading some to recommend it for those willing to replace it regularly.
For players seeking alternatives, other options in the Andro line or similar brands might explore different aspects of speed and spin characteristics. However, the unique playing style that the Andro Plasma 470 facilitates, particularly for OFF- to OFF+ players, sets it apart in the competitive landscape of table tennis rubbers.
This product has very poor performance. It is recommended that no one use it.
This rubber is good for attacking, but it starts to bubble after 3 months of use.
This is an excellent rubber for the attacking player. I use it myself. However, you have to be able to have great control. It does wear out. I had the rubber for about 6 months, then realized that it had 2 rips in it. So, it is not very durable.
The consistency has changed since the 8 months I have had the rubber. It was perfect when I first got it. However, it has gotten a lot different and changes quite often. However, I recommend this if you can buy a new sheet of the rubber every 5 months.
However, if you are looking for a rubber which you can keep for a long time without it breaking, this is not the rubber. If you ever have to play against this rubber, I recommend you try chopping. If the player is not able to loop it back, because when you try and chop it back, the consistency is not the same and becomes very easy to hit the net. But for attacking, it is very good and I would recommend it for great looping. You have to be good to use this rubber though because the control is not the best. However, at a good standard, it can become deadly for kill shots, smashing and drives, which I recommend it for as well as why the rubber was made for looping.
