Butterfly Bryce Speed FX
Rubber description:
Rubber Type: Tensor
This rubber is recognized for its high-speed performance and soft sponge, making it a popular choice for offensive players, particularly those focusing on backhand play. It features a mechanical spin profile, where the spin potential is best realized when the ball sinks deeply into the sponge during powerful, aggressive strokes. Because of its nature, it offers a consistent and linear response, which provides players with significant confidence during rallies.
Performance Characteristics
- Speed and Control: It is highly regarded for its exceptional speed and surprisingly high levels of control for such a fast rubber. The soft sponge enhances the feel and dwell time, making it effective for mid-to-long-distance attacks and rapid, punchy shots.
- Spin and Trajectory: The rubber is characterized by a low throw angle, which helps facilitate aggressive blocking and direct, penetrating counter-loops. While it produces strong spin during hard, attacking shots, it is less effective for creating high-arc loops or generating heavy spin on delicate, low-impact touches.
- Versatility: Its blocking capabilities are a standout feature, allowing players to redirect fast, spinny incoming balls with stability. It is particularly well-suited for players who prioritize a fast, attacking game but require a forgiving touch for backhand drives and counter-looping. However, it requires precise technique when looping against heavy backspin due to the low launch angle.

Butterfly Rubber Review
This rubber excels for backhand use. As expected from Butterfly products, it boasts high quality. It provides medium throw, medium spin, and above-average speed. While it may be slightly soft, it maintains its firmness. Compared to the Tenergy series, it offers less pace but exhibits a more linear trajectory than tensor rubbers.
