The rubber is excellent for looping and serves. It provides great spin and control, allowing players to execute their shots effectively. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, this rubber enhances performance on the table.

My favorite high tension rubber from Butterfly is a standout choice for table tennis enthusiasts. With a softness rating of 32 degrees, it offers a slightly spongy feel that many players appreciate.

One of its most impressive features is the ability to generate excellent spin. The soft sponge allows the ball to sink in, resulting in a more controlled and dynamic spin. However, the soft sponge can also create a slight “trampoline effect,” which may not be suitable for everyone.

Overall, this rubber is well-suited for all-around power play, making it a versatile option for a variety of playing styles.

After some time searching and trying out different rubbers, I finally found the perfect one for my backhand.

This rubber provides a great deal of control and a wonderful feel. You can definitely experience the catapult effect, although not nearly as pronounced as when using glue. Additionally, the sound it produces is quite pleasant, even without adhesive.

It gives me the control I need for my backhand while also delivering adequate speed.

Moreover, it is an excellent choice for opening up against backspin.

The only downside is its durability; it tends to lose its grip after a while, and it is not particularly inexpensive.

Catapult is a very soft and controllable high-tension rubber. It excels in looping and smashing, while also performing decently on serves.

This rubber is an excellent choice for the forehand, as it is not abrasive, yet provides the power and spin that players need without sacrificing control. It allows you to place the ball exactly where you want it, offering a great overall feeling during play.

Additionally, Catapult is a fantastic option in light of the glue ban, further enhancing its appeal to players.

Review of Table Tennis Rubber

Blast off! This rubber seems to have rocket propulsion built in. Although I didn’t have the chance to play with it for more than a couple of months (it wasn’t mine), I could feel the power and speed immediately.

Counter-drives and smashes were almost impossible to chase down, making it a suitable choice for intermediate to experienced players. However, the price for the Butterfly logo may not be justified unless the rubber perfectly suits your playing style.
