Review: Donic Quattro Aconda 1.8 mm
Donic Quattro Aconda 1.8 mm may not be ideal for skilled and fast-paced players. However, it excels as a backhand rubber for beginners seeking to improve their consistency. Its low trajectory on pushes allows for better ball control, addressing a common challenge faced by players with high-spin rubbers.
The rubber’s non-porous sponge and absence of tensor technology contribute to its ability to keep the ball on the table. It provides excellent safety for new players and those returning to the game after an extended absence.
Despite its lower rating in spin and speed compared to advanced rubbers like Tenergy and Hurricane, the Donic Quattro Aconda is an excellent choice for developing proper technique in pushing and hitting.

My reviews will be available soon.
Regardless of the hype surrounding Tenergy and offensive tensor rubbers, in my opinion, one of the best rubbers ever produced is the Donic rubber. If you are an all-around player, this rubber is an excellent choice.
While I haven’t tried the soft version, I assume it is less fast than the medium one. However, I highly recommend using a thickness of 1.5 to 1.8 on an all-around blade. It excels in chopping, blocking, and even looping.
Unfortunately, Donic no longer manufactures this rubber, presumably because it is so durable that they cannot profit from it. It can be likened to Aikido in the realm of table tennis.
The sole drawback is that it lacks the power for smashing from a distance. As it ages (over 4 years), its spin generation diminishes, but it remains effective for blocking and chopping.
Interestingly, the pips beneath the surface of my first sheet shattered at the racquet’s sweet spot, forcing me to replace the rubber. I adore this rubber and consider it the modern-day Mark V. The decision by Donic to discontinue its production is regrettable. I attempted to contact the company for an explanation, but due to a language barrier, I was unable to obtain one. Moreover, the individual I communicated with via email audaciously suggested I was using a thicker version of the rubber.
