Used the red one, with maximum thickness on the backhand.
The sponge is rated at 45 degrees, but it doesn’t feel that hard.
There is no catapult effect, the speed is medium, and the control is very good. However, I still didn’t like it, as it felt like it was lacking something… I suppose this rubber would only be suitable when used with fast glue or Chinese booster.
Very good rubber, but not an excellent choice for championship plays.
Hard sponge (around 48 degrees), providing excellent control for short pushes, chops, and blocks. Topspins are feasible but require good technique. Hitting is effective but not excessively fast. Suitable as a backhand rubber to slow the game’s pace and disrupt opponents with short pushes. Notably performs well in service returns against high-level players (tested against a B4 class Belgian player rated approximately 2400 USATT). No catapult effect compared to German tensor rubbers.
Only about the fifth rubber I have used—so take this for what it is worth. By far the fastest rubber/sponge combo I have used. I will have to get used to the speed to keep return shots on the table.
Spin is real good for serves and short game. It seems to have plenty of grip for looping as well.
Sponge is much harder/more dense than I am used to. I was afraid it wouldn’t grip, but the top sheet is tacky enough that it still grabs and spins plenty.
Excellent rubber with very good control.
The top sheet is non-tacky.
The black rubber is softer than the red rubber.
This rubber is excellent for players looking to attack quickly and end points promptly. I use it for my backhand.
I thought this would be good for spin-control. However, this sponge is too hard. Fast drives are really tough to execute since the tackiness fades away.
There are better rubbers out there.
Spin and Control
Speed, spin, and control are rated without speed glue in comparison to other rubbers without speed glue. I would rate Tenergy as 9.5 or 10 for spin and NEW hard tensors as 9.5 or 10 for speed.
Tackiness
The tackiness of the rubber is obvious, especially for the black one. However, this is only present initially. The tackiness disappears after time, and the rubber becomes a grippy one that has never stalled on me before. (Unlike even Roxon or an old Sriver).
Sponge Hardness
I rate the sponge hardness as medium compared to other Chinese rubbers. It is pretty hard compared to tensors (yes, even the so-called hard-sponged Roxon 500 kind).
Control and Power
What I like about this rubber is the excellent control and many gears it has. I think it misses a top gear that would be there if you speed-glued it, but it is sufficient when combined with a fast blade for close to mid-distance play. One would have to generate their own power to take full advantage of this rubber.
Durability and Value
A very durable rubber at a cheap price. Outstanding control. Definitely more than a match for Srivers to me. (Not for those looking for an extremely fast speed-glue effect rubber - this rubber doesn’t have any).
I think this is a good Chinese rubber. People who are looking for speed more than spin can go for this rubber. Overall, it is a good one which lasts for six months!
I read some good reviews, so I ordered it.
It was kind of a disappointment; the sponge was much harder than expected. Ask the seller before buying this rubber. Mine was 45 deg, and I did not like it too much. It could be a very good rubber around 38-40 deg, as some reviewers had it.
It is fast, especially when glued. The throw was lower, maybe because of the harder sponge. Block/drive is OK, but I wanted a looping rubber.
Very good and versatile Chinese rubber. It’s probably one of the best Chinese-style rubbers that I have used on my backhand.
It’s very good at looping, spinning, and pushing.
