Andro Roxon 330

Rubber description:

The Andro Roxon 330 is a highly regarded table tennis rubber known for its exceptional balance of spin, speed, and control. Targeted primarily at developing and recreational players, this rubber features a soft sponge that enhances touch and maneuverability, making it an excellent choice for those looking to improve their skills. With an overall rating of 8.6, it’s recognized for its impressive consistency and ability to perform well in various playing styles.

Tackiness is minimal at 1.7, characterizing the Roxon 330 as a grippy rubber without significant tackiness. This allows players to generate considerable spin while maintaining control, particularly on opening loops. The weight of the rubber is classified as low at 2.2, which contributes to the ease of play and comfort during extended matches. The soft sponge hardness (0.3) provides a unique feel, allowing for greater dwell time on the ball and enhancing the player’s ability to place shots accurately.

Durability is rated at 6.4, which, according to some reviews, may limit its lifespan compared to other rubbers. A few players have noted that the rubber starts to lose its effectiveness after several weeks of intensive play, suggesting that those who prioritize longevity should consider alternatives. However, the Roxon 330 remains a favorite for its performance, especially in close-to-the-table play where its control shines.

For those seeking similar alternatives, rubbers like Xiom Sigma Pro or even the Andro Roxon 450 have been mentioned as options, though players may find Roxon 330’s spin and control to be unmatched in its category.

Wow! This is an amazing rubber with extraordinary control and an exceptionally soft sponge.

Physical:
This rubber features a light-colored sponge paired with a very soft top sheet. It is exceptionally lightweight and has a grippy surface, though it lacks tackiness. Additionally, it comes well-packaged and displays the ESN tensor logo.

Spin:
As with most soft rubbers, the spin generated at low swing speeds is very good. You don’t have to exert much effort to initiate play after a heavy backspin. The grippy top sheet facilitates easy lifting with just a flick of the wrist. The spin excels in opening loops, slow spinny loops, and controlled near-the-table loops. However, as you increase swing speed and move further from the table, the spin—like that of most soft rubbers—begins to diminish rapidly.

Speed and Control:
Again, the rubber shines when used close to the table, excelling in various aspects. However, as you play further back, some of its advantages are lost. The rubber provides solid speed and remarkable control on blocks. Flicks also showcase significant speed, as the rubber does not deform excessively during these shots, leading to excellent placement.

Recommendation:
I would primarily recommend this rubber for the backhand side. It is particularly suited for developing and recreational players. If you are between the ages of 10 and 15, this rubber could be an ideal choice, as it can enhance control and speed, which is beneficial given limited swing speed at that age.

Have fun and enjoy table tennis!

This is a good backhand rubber; however, it can also be effectively used for the forehand. I find it to be superior to Plasma 380.
