Nittaku Hammond Z2 Special Version

Rubber description:

The Nittaku Hammond Z2 Special is a high-performance table tennis rubber that caters to advanced players seeking a blend of speed, spin, and control. Known for its unique combination of a soft sponge and a slightly tacky surface, the Hammond Z2 Special allows players to produce powerful loops and deceptive spin that can unsettle opponents. Its high-quality construction makes it a preferred choice among competitive players who prioritize precision and responsiveness in their game.

In terms of tackiness, the Hammond Z2 Special features a moderately tacky surface that enhances grip on the ball, facilitating the production of extensive spin with minimal effort. This characteristic is particularly beneficial for loopers and aggressive players, offering them the ability to execute heavy topspin shots with confidence. The tacky nature of the rubber also aids in generating effective serves and counter-hits, making it a versatile choice for various playing styles.

Weight-wise, the Hammond Z2 Special falls into the medium category, providing a good balance between speed and control without compromising on feel. This makes it comfortable for players who desire a rubber that doesn’t feel too heavy or cumbersome during play. In terms of durability, the rubber is designed to withstand the rigors of intense matches, offering long-lasting performance even under frequent usage, although regular maintenance is advised to preserve its qualities.

For those looking for alternatives to the Nittaku Hammond Z2 Special, options like the Butterfly Tenergy series or Yasaka Rakza may offer similar benefits, though each has its unique feel and play characteristics. Ultimately, the Hammond Z2 Special stands out for its blend of control and offensive capabilities, making it an excellent investment for serious players.

Z2 is a well-known top-of-the-line rubber.
This is a softer version of it. Great for younger players who can’t produce powerful swings.

Very good rubber, light, fast, perfect for backhand. I think it is not 45 degrees. There are two harder versions: one 48 grams (cut to 157/150), the second - 47 grams. And four special versions: two 45 grams and two 46 grams. I think it may be 47 degrees. Low throw, good spin.
