Nittaku Fastarc G-1
Rubber description:
This is a high-performance tensor rubber known for its balanced, all-around offensive capabilities. It is widely considered a top-tier choice for intermediate to advanced players seeking a reliable, high-spin, and durable alternative to more expensive market leaders.
Playing Characteristics
- Spin and Grip: The rubber features a highly grippy topsheet that excels at creating heavy spin on both loops and serves. It is capable of generating significant rotation, though it remains less spin-sensitive than many other high-tension tensors, making it excellent for serve returns and blocking.
- Speed and Dwell Time: It offers a balanced, linear speed that rewards correct technique. It provides a crisp feel with good dwell time, allowing for both powerful mid-distance loops and controlled, precise short-game play.
- Control and Trajectory: Known for its predictable and consistent feedback, the rubber has a medium-high throw angle that helps clear the net easily. Its controlled, low-catapult nature makes it less “bouncy” than many competitors, offering a high degree of stability during rallies.
Durability and Feel
- Construction: The rubber features a medium-hard sponge that requires a short “break-in” period to reach its full potential. Once settled, it maintains its playing characteristics for an extended period, earning a reputation for being one of the most durable rubbers in its class.
- Versatility: While it is a standout forehand rubber for many users, its balanced performance makes it equally capable on the backhand. It performs well on a variety of blade compositions, from all-wood to carbon-composite blades, though it pairs particularly well with stiff or medium-hard blades to maximize its speed and spin potential.

I’m using G1 as my main rubber on FH. This rubber works nicely for BH as well. Spinny, fast, durable, grippy, and not so spin-sensitive.

My preferred choice of rubber on my FH. Lower price compared to Tenergy 05. It seems that this rubber lasts longer than the T 05. Value and quality!

This rubber is fast and springy, delivering good spin for aggressive play. The rubber and sponge are durable, ensuring long-lasting performance. It’s easy to block topspin shots effectively, though sometimes the topspin arc tends to be a bit flatter than expected. Overall, a solid choice for players looking for speed and spin with reliable durability. Definitely a cheaper alternative to more expensive rubbers on the market.
