Tibhar Evolution MX-P
Rubber description:
The Tibhar Evolution MX-P is a high-performance tensor rubber designed for offensive play. It is widely recognized as a top-tier attacking rubber, frequently compared to elite alternatives for its explosive power, speed, and spin generation. It features a firm, dynamic sponge paired with a grippy topsheet that provides a “clicky,” speed-glue-like sound and a pronounced catapult effect upon impact.
Playing Characteristics
- Speed and Power: This rubber is exceptionally fast and rewards players who engage the sponge with full, aggressive strokes. It offers a linear response, making it highly effective for power-looping, driving, and smashing.
- Spin Potential: It generates high levels of spin, particularly when the player fully compresses the sponge. While it offers immense bite, it is noted for being less spin-sensitive than some other professional-grade rubbers, which aids in the short game and active blocking.
- Control and Dwell: The rubber provides a solid dwell time that allows for precise ball placement. Although it is a very fast, bouncy rubber, advanced players often find it more predictable and easier to control during blocks and serve returns compared to more “springy” or high-catapult alternatives.
- Throw Angle: It typically features a medium-to-low throw angle, which facilitates flat hitting and low, penetrating topspin drives.
Technical and Maintenance Notes
- Weight: It is a relatively heavy rubber, which may affect the overall balance of a blade depending on the setup.
- Gluing and Durability: Users report that the rubber may shrink over time if removed and reglued, so proper care with edge tape and adhesive application is recommended. It is a high-performance sheet that performs best when fresh; performance gradually tapers off after several weeks of heavy play.
- Suitability: Due to its speed and performance requirements, it is best suited for intermediate-to-advanced offensive players with refined technique. It performs exceptionally well on both forehand and backhand, though it is frequently favored for forehand power-looping.

Great rubber.

This blade is good enough for a professional player.

Trying it again after using Dignics and Tenergy, as I had fond memories of it from the early days. I remember it used to perform amazingly, but it didn’t happen this time.
Easy speed from this bouncy rubber on outer ALC blades. Fast rallies are easy and energy-conserving. Slow pushes are controllable. Flicks/serves are okay. I wish it could generate loopy arcs like Butterfly can, but alas, it’s rather flat with this rubber despite trying to add maximum spin to my loops.
Still a top-notch choice if you need heavy arcs.
