Tibhar Evolution MX-P table tennis bladeTibhar Evolution MX-P table tennis blade

Rubber description:

The Tibhar Evolution MX-P is an extremely fast and powerful attacking rubber that provides excellent speed and spin. It is often compared to the popular Tenergy 05 rubber, with reviewers stating that it is a slightly faster and harder version. The rubber has a medium throw angle and produces a pronounced catapult effect, making it well-suited for aggressive players who like to loop and drive the ball from mid-distance.

The tackiness of the MX-P is rated around 2.3 out of 5, which is quite grippy but not overly so. The rubber has a medium weight, coming in at around 6.4 grams. However, some reviewers noted that the rubber feels very heavy, especially when used with thicker sponge (2.1-2.2mm).

In terms of durability, the MX-P seems to have a shorter lifespan compared to other premium rubbers like Tenergy. Reviewers mention that the rubber loses significant speed and spin after around 30-50 hours of play. The factory-applied booster also wears off fairly quickly. However, the rubber is still considered a good value compared to more expensive options.

Overall, the Tibhar Evolution MX-P is an excellent choice for offensive players looking for a fast, spinny, and relatively controllable rubber. Its performance is very close to the Tenergy 05, but at a lower price point. However, the durability may be a concern for frequent players.

This blade is good enough for a professional player.

Trying it again after using Dignics and Tenergy, as I had fond memories of it from the early days. I remember it used to perform amazingly, but it didn’t happen this time.

Easy speed from this bouncy rubber on outer ALC blades. Fast rallies are easy and energy-conserving. Slow pushes are controllable. Flicks/serves are okay. I wish it could generate loopy arcs like Butterfly can, but alas, it’s rather flat with this rubber despite trying to add maximum spin to my loops.

Still a top-notch choice if you need heavy arcs.
