Tibhar Torpedo

Rubber description:

Tibhar Torpedo is a high-performance table tennis rubber designed for aggressive players seeking speed, spin, and control. It features a medium-hard sponge rated at 6 on the hardness scale, providing a balance of power and feel. The top sheet is grippy and tacky, allowing for excellent spin generation and precise ball placement.

One of the standout features of Tibhar Torpedo is its impressive speed rating of 102. This makes it an ideal choice for players who rely on fast-paced attacks and powerful shots. The rubber's high spin rating of 99 further enhances its attacking capabilities, enabling players to create sharp angles and deceptive spins that can leave opponents struggling to respond.

Despite its focus on speed and spin, Tibhar Torpedo also offers a decent level of control, rated at 92. This allows players to maintain consistency and accuracy in their shots, even during intense rallies. The rubber's gears rating of 7.3 indicates that it is versatile and can adapt to different playing styles and situations.

In terms of throw angle, Tibhar Torpedo has a medium-low trajectory, rated at 5.7. This means that the ball tends to stay low over the net, making it difficult for opponents to attack effectively. The rubber's consistency rating of 6.9 suggests that players can expect a reliable and predictable performance from the rubber, shot after shot.

Regarding durability, Tibhar Torpedo is known to have a slightly lower rating of 4.1, indicating that it may require more frequent replacement compared to some other rubbers. However, this is often a trade-off for the exceptional performance that the rubber offers.

Overall, Tibhar Torpedo is an excellent choice for players looking for a high-quality attacking rubber that provides exceptional speed, spin, and control. Its grippy top sheet and medium-hard sponge make it suitable for a wide range of playing styles, from aggressive attackers to all-round players seeking more power and spin in their shots.

I have been using this rubber on my forehand for three years. As a modern defender, I play with a Petr Korbel OFF blade. This rubber is amazing if you know how to play with it.

From 2005 to 2020, I used Tibhar MX-P, but this rubber has truly enhanced my game.

In my opinion, without illegal glue, this rubber isn’t very good. It tends to wear out after just a few months (around 3 to 4 months).
