Yinhe 9000 3 Star
Rubber description:
This is a sticky (tacky) Chinese-style rubber designed primarily for forehand use. It is characterized by high levels of grip and spin potential, making it well-suited for a variety of strokes including loops, pushes, chops, and flicks. When paired with the correct blade, it offers significant power for flat hitting and smashing, producing a distinct sound upon contact.
Performance Characteristics
- Spin and Tackiness: The rubber features a noticeably tacky topsheet that provides high spin capability. While the tackiness is most prominent when the rubber is new, it remains a strong choice for players focusing on spin-oriented shots.
- Speed and Control: The rubber’s speed is highly dependent on the blade configuration; it performs effectively on both offensive blades for power-driven play and all-round blades for increased control. It is generally considered fast for its price category, though it can feel heavy when used with thicker sponge versions.
- Playing Style: It is favored by players who utilize a full-body swing to generate kinetic energy, rather than relying solely on arm speed. While it excels in offensive loops, flat smashes, and controlled defensive play, some users find it less ideal for backhand looping or blocking heavy spin.
Technical Considerations
- Weight: Due to the dense sponge, the rubber can add significant weight to a setup, which may impact maneuverability for some players.
- Versatility: It functions as an economical option that bridges the gap between offensive and defensive play, offering enough consistency for amateurs to develop their technique while providing sufficient performance for more experienced users.

My first serious rubber was used on my main blade, TSP Reflex 50 Award Off. I loved it.
It’s fast, tacky, and forgiving, making it easy to control despite its speed. It provides crazy spin and is very consistent when used for forehand strokes.

This is a fantastic forehand rubber. It has unbelievable spin, along with excellent power. This makes it easy and effective for lobbing, chopping, flicks (flips), looping, pushing (slicing), and, of course, smashing. Smashes are effortless and can be hit so fast the ball nearly goes through the table.
I use it as a forehand rubber with a 2.0 mm sponge. And on top of all of that, it is only $10.00. Great rubber!
As of 2016, this rubber is out of production, a terrible shame.

This rubber is very good for developing your loop and spin shots. However, I think the sponge is very thick, which makes this rubber heavy and hard to control. But for the price they offer, it’s a good choice if you’re an amateur who wants to train more attack shots.
