Yinhe Apollo 5
Rubber description:
This rubber is a hybrid that combines a hard, heavy sponge with a tacky topsheet. It is designed to prioritize control and directness, offering a consistent feel that favors aggressive flat hitting, smashing, and counter-attacking. Users will find the rubber relatively insensitive to incoming spin, which aids in stable blocking and efficient short-game performance.
Playing Characteristics
- Spin and Dwell: The tacky topsheet allows for high spin production when paired with proper technique. While it is capable of producing significant spin for loops, it requires active input from the player to maximize its potential. It features a lower throw angle compared to high-tension rubbers.
- Speed and Sound: The rubber is characterized by a firm, “clicking” or “cracking” sound, particularly during flat hits. While not categorized as ultra-fast, it provides sufficient power for offensive play, especially when paired with flexible blades that can better complement its hard sponge.
- Control: Despite its hard nature, it offers high levels of control, making it a reliable choice for technical players looking for precision in both loops and defensive blocks.
- Compatibility: Due to its hard, heavy construction, it is most effectively used on the forehand. It is frequently compared to other hybrid rubbers, showing similarities in performance and feel to models like Big Dipper or Jupiter 3.

Very similar to Big Dipper, with comparable speed, although it may be marginally faster. In terms of tackiness, it is stickier than Big Dipper but less tacky than H3. Notably, it offers the ability to pick up a ball from the table for brief periods.
As a forehand rubber, Jupiter 3 excels with exceptional spin and power.
Furthermore, I believe Jupiter 3 utilizes a sponge and topsheet that closely resemble those of Big Dipper.

Use hard 40-degree max in blade Butterfly Innerforce Layer ZLC. Good control and spin without loss of speed. I like it.
