Yinhe M-Star

Rubber description:

Yinhe M-Star is a tensor table tennis rubber designed for a more balanced and controlled style of play. It features a tacky 7-point topsheet and a 7.8-degree sponge, which provides a good blend of speed, spin, and control. This rubber is a great choice for all-round players and those who prioritize control and consistency.

The Yinhe M-Star is relatively easy to play due to its well-balanced and controllable nature. It offers a linear progression of speed and spin, making it predictable and consistent. The topsheet provides good grip, making it suitable for various techniques, including short pips, flicks, and loops. Moreover, its responsiveness allows for easy generation of spin, even with moderate effort.

This Yinhe rubber excels in delivering consistent performance, regardless of playing conditions, making it a great choice for players who prioritize reliability. It is also known for its durability, lasting longer than many other rubbers, even with frequent use. This makes it a cost-effective option for players who want a rubber that can withstand long hours of practice and competition.

Generally, Yinhe M-Star is most suitable for all-round playing styles, but it can also accommodate offensive and defensive styles with its controllable nature and adaptability. However, some players may find it lacking in power and dynamics compared to more specialized rubbers designed for pure speed or spin.

Overall, the Yinhe M-Star offers a well-rounded playing experience, emphasizing control, consistency, and reliability. It is an excellent choice for recreational players, beginners, and intermediate players seeking a balanced and versatile rubber that caters to their all-around style.

Yinhe Sueke Phantom 2 Table Tennis Rubber Review

This rubber is a recent release from Yinhe. It is identical to Sueke’s Phantom 2 rubber, as Yinhe has acquired the rights to it. The Sueke Phantom 2 rubber is a unique hybrid that combines characteristics of H3 and Tensor rubbers.

I have used the 37-degree version on my forehand. This rubber generates exceptional spin; I have never encountered anything with more spin. The serves are deadly when executed with this rubber. I used it on a DHS PG7 blade, and the combination was excellent.

However, this rubber is not recommended for beginners due to its lack of control. It also offers multiple gears when hitting hard, which can be challenging to manage. Additionally, it is not suitable for backhand use, even in the softer version, as the ball tends to have a low bounce with this rubber.

Overall, I recommend the Yinhe Sueke Phantom 2 rubber for experienced players who seek a high-spin and versatile rubber.
