As this rubber is very cheap, it provides excellent value for money. It is a good option for players who are looking for a budget-friendly rubber that still provides good performance. This rubber is also suitable for recreational players who are just starting out and do not want to spend a lot of money on equipment.

It offers reasonable performance at a reasonable price. It is not the best rubber on the market, but it is a good option for players who are on a budget. So, if you are looking for a cheap rubber that will give you good value for money, this is a good option.

Review: The Perfect Entry-Level Rubber

This rubber is the ideal choice for beginners. It excels in chopping and maintains its tackiness over extended use (two years or more). While it can be used for looping and driving, the high throw angle requires players to close their blades during topspins; otherwise, the ball may be easily returned or go out.

Despite being used on the backhand, the rubber surprisingly offers decent speed. For beginners who are starting to take table tennis seriously, this rubber provides an excellent price-to-performance ratio.

I use this rubber on my backhand on the Yinhe T1. This rubber is very controllable and generates good spin, making it ideal for beginners.

Pros:

  • Controllable
  • Spinny
  • Suitable for beginners

Cons:

  • None mentioned in the provided text

Mercury

This rubber provides excellent control for close-to-table blocks, hard drives on topspins, fishing, counterloops from the 2-3 zone, short game, and topspins with good brushing. However, it lacks the speed necessary for consistent attacking.

Recommendations:

  • Suitable for beginner modern defenders with a Chen Weixing-style forehand.
  • Effective for close-to-table counterattackers on the backhand.

Additional Notes:

  • This review is based on the use of Mercury rubber on a Joola Chen Weixing blade, with two layers of oil and a thickness of 2.2.
  • The rubber is recommended for use on hard blades.

Review:

I am currently using one on my forehand. It was mildly tacky out of the package, but after bringing it home, it became completely non-tacky.

Unfortunately, I could not even keep the protective film on it.

I believe I may have received a faulty product.

Aside from that, it is a decent rubber. I have not yet noticed anything particularly special about the tension technology.

The best value rubber in the world. It’s not heaps special, but for its price, it is certainly not bad. Recommended for the spinny beginner…
