Andro TP_Ligna ALL

Blade description:

The Andro Ligna All is a 5-ply all-wood blade designed for high versatility and technical development. It is characterized by its lightweight construction, often weighing in the low 70-gram range, which makes it highly maneuverable. The handle design is notable for lacking sharp edges, providing a comfortable grip that is particularly well-suited for players with smaller hands.

Playing Characteristics

  • Feel and Feedback: This blade provides pleasant vibration and a distinct high-pitched sound upon contact, offering clear sensory feedback. It is well-regarded for its control-oriented nature, rewarding accurate technique with high spin production and consistent shot placement.
  • Speed and Versatility: While primarily an all-round blade, it provides sufficient speed for offensive play when paired with appropriate rubbers. It maintains a broad compatibility with various rubber types, including tacky Chinese-style rubbers, tensioned tensors, and both soft or hard sponges.
  • Handling: The blade is effective for a wide range of styles, from defensive chopping to offensive looping and driving. Because it requires a committed stroke to maximize its potential, it serves as an excellent tool for players looking to refine their technique and overall consistency.

It’s not as good as I assumed. The bat feels fairly dead.

I’m no longer using it because it didn’t suit me.

Very nice blade. I have different blades ranging from Chinese generic blades to Timo Boll ALC, but this blade suits me the most. The control is phenomenal, and it has speed when you need it. Spin is flat-out great. Every time you do a loop or drive, it has a certain high-pitched ping sound, which is a very good thing for me, although the sweet spot is not too big. The vibration is very pleasant considering it is a 5-ply all-wood blade. Good strokes are rewarded with a high consistent spin and will confidently land on your opponent’s table. I use Chinese rubber on the forehand and a slow tensor on the backhand. Looping with this blade is a breeze; the ball leaves your blade like a turbine. But you must be committed to your strokes to produce high-quality shots. I rated it 9 because I have only used it for 6 months and need more time to rate it 10. Nevertheless, it is an amazing blade. The quality is at its finest. Thank you, Andro.

The build quality is excellent (5+). It is suitable for players who prefer an ALL (all-round) style of play. It’s interesting when combined with Vega Europe or Vega Pro rubbers.
